Alatariel held Ellroher's arm as they walked through the near empty streets. No words were said between the two for they both seemed to have been lost in their own thoughts. She looked up at the starlit sky and smiled. It was good to be home and she knew Ellroher felt the same. She sensed Ellroher's glance and she glanced back at him and smiled. Alatariel entered her chambers, but stood in the doorway and looked at Ellroher. She smiled as he placed a kiss upon her forehead. She watched as he turned to leave. She would miss having him near at night but now that she was back home, they had to keep their distance. It was not proper for unwed Elves to sleep in the same room. She nodded and replied, "Of course, goodnight." As he left the room, she peaked out the door and watched as he retired to his own room. When he had done so, Alatariel closed to the door to her chambers and made her way to her bed and crawled in not bothering to change out of her gown for she was too tired. It had been a very long day. She curled up slightly and stared at the wall until she drifted off to sleep, her eyes unblinking.

Out of pure habit, Ellroher lit his pipe and took out his twin swords to clean them. He laughed at himself. "There will be no chance to use them anytime soon, so why can't I just let them be?" He shruged and finished cleaning them, and then his knife. He walked over to the balcony and looked down at the city and all the sparkaling lights. He smiled as he remebered looking down and and begging his mother to let him stay up and go down there. But, of corse, he lost the argument. He always lost the arguments with his mother. Espesaly when Elemmire told on him. Once Elemmire said so, that was it. "Mother always seemed to take her side over mine." Ellroher grunted to himself. "But usaly I had done something to desirve punishment." Ellroher put out his pipe and layed down with his hands folded across his chest. His thoughts drifted to Alatariel as he fell asleep.

Alatáriël had awoken to the suns rays shining on her face. She blinked once and shielded her eyes from the bright light. It was already mid-morning and she had slept later then she wanted to. Very long day yesterday. She thought to herself as if she were making an excuse. She climbed out of bed and made her way to the bathing chambers. She took her usual morning bath and got dressed then stepped out of her chambers shutting the door behind her. She gracefully walked down the hall and wondered if Ellroher was awake yet.

Ellroher was sound asleep when someone yelled "Orcs!" in his ear. Ellroher jumped out of bed and grabed for his swords. But when his feet hit the floor and he went to take a step, he found that his feet were tied together. Ellroher fell right on his face with a hard thud. The next thing he realized was that instead of his sword, he was holding a feather duster. Rolling onto his side and wondering what the heck was going on, Ellroher heard a familer giggle. He looked up to see his sister Elemmire standing by his bed laughing at him. "Whats the matter Ellroher? Have too much to drink last night? Or did you deside to do some dusting today?" She asked as she laughed all the harder at him. Ellroher, hating to have one pulled over him, espealy by his sister, lunged at her with the feather duster. Elemmire simply steped backwards away from his futile attack. Ellroher tired again but his feet were still tied and he fell again on his face. Elemmire shook her head and said as she headed towards the door, "Ellroher, Ellroher, Ellroher. What am I going to to with you? Maybe Alatariel will be able to take better care of you because I sure have failed."

Alatáriël stood in the doorway of Ellroher's room. She crossed her arms over her chest and had an unhappy look on her face. She was not pleased at all. She eyed Elemmire and said in a hard voice, "That is not something you should be shouting around here. Let us just hope no one else heard you." She walked past the female half-elf and kneeled down beside Ellroher and untied the bounds around his feet. She sighed lightly. She was beginning to grow a low tolerance for these pranks.

Elemmire just staired at the floor wile Alatariel untied Ellroher. Finaly, she said, "Forgive me, my lady. I ment no ofince." Ellroher, his feet now unbound, stood and nodded to his sister. "Why don't you go and wait for mother. I want to know the moment she steps foot inside the city." Elemmire bowed respectfuly then left. Ellroher sat down on the bed and shook his head. Finaly he said, "The scary thing is that I see myself when I look at her. I had to grow up when I rode to war and then became a Stewerd of Rohan. She hasn't had to grow up." Ellroher looked up at Alatariel and pulled her beside him. "Maybe she just needs a little help in how to act like a lady." He looked back at the doorway were Elemmire had left for a moment then sighed. "I think she just really missed me. I haven't been around much for the last ten years." Ellroher turned back to Alatariel and smiled as he kissed her cheak. "But it is good to see you this morning. What is the first item of buisness today for the queen of Rivendell?"

Alatáriël blinked reMembering that she had yet to be formally introduced to his mother. She sat down on the bed next to Ellroher, unsure of what to say...that is until he spoke. She held back a laugh. "You are still like that sometimes." Though, now that she had seen it, his sister was worse. She blamed the mortal blood within them that made them act foolish. "She might have." Alatáriël said and smiled. She was an only child so she was not sure how the whole sibbling thing really worked. She raised a hand ran her fingers through his messy bed hair. "For the moment, I have no plans but I think you should have yourself a bath and get dressed."

Ellroher looked at Alatariel and raised an eyebrow. "What? Are you my mother? You going to give me a bath and lay out my cloths for me?" He laughed and stood up. "Alright. I'll get cleaned up. But just because your the queen of Rivendell doesn't mean you can order me around." Ellroher took her arm and pulled her close to him. He wraped his arms around her and looked down into her sweet eyes. "I may get tired and go back to Rohan without you." Ellroher whispered as he kissed Alatariel's soft lips. He laughed and added, "But a kiss like that and I'll be running back to you like a love struck colt to a pretty filly." He gave her another quick kiss and then pushed her towards the door. "Now if you excuse me, I need to get cleaned up. I'm having breakfast with the queen of Rivendell and I want to look my best." Ellroher gave her a final wink before closing the door and making his way towards the bath.

Alatáriël laughed. "No, but...I think I pity her though, you are a wild thing." she said with a teasing tone. "Oh yes I can." Alatáriël said with a smirk. "I have the authority to order you around if I wanted to." She too, wrapped her arms around him and looked back into his eyes. "You would not return. ReMember who still has your heart." She kissed him back and laughed at his words. "You already are." With that, he pushed her toward the door, out of his room. "Well there is something I have not seen yet." She smiled to herself and left the room and made her down to the dining hall.

Ellroher quickly bathed and found a dark blue tunic and got dressed. Although he favored a green tunic, the blue would match better here in Rivendell. Once again he had to resist the urge to put on his back plate and swords. "I don't need these now." He repeated to himself. He buckled his belt and through a short matching blue cape around his shoulders with a smile. It covered his large hunting knife that rested at the small of his back. Chuckleing, Ellroher headed off to find Alatariel and his breakfast.

Sitting in the dining hall, Alatáriël leaned back in her chair and waited for Ellroher to join her. She looked up at the ceiling as if she were in thought. She snapped out of her thoughts hearing footsteps behind her. She turned around and saw Ellroher walk into the room. She smiled and rose from her chair. "Well, hello there handsome."

Ellroher took her hand and kissed it. Then, in a mock safisticated voise said, "Good morning, your highness. I must say that it is an honor to be having breakfast with the Queen of Rivendell. It truely is a wonderful place and bla, bla, bla... whatever." Ellroher rolled he eyes at the thought of people acually saying that as just flatery. He had heard plenty of that as Stewerd. Alatariel will probalby hear it at least five times a day now. He let the thought pass as he steped back and spun around to let Alatariel inspect his outfit. "So, What do you think? Not bad eh? I'm usaly not a fan of the latest fasion, but the blue cape really feels good." Ellroher gave Alatariel a misteveous look and added, "It's also usefull." With that, he grabed one end of the cape and wraped it around her so that it compleatly shealded her body and pulled her close to him. His cocky misteveous smile grew all the larger as he said, "Hey good looken, you come here often?" He gave her a quick kiss then realeasted her. Smiling from pointy ear to pointy ear, Ellroher pulled out a chair for her and said, as civolised as posible, "My lady."

Alatáriël laughed at his flattery even though he was mocking it. She crossed her arms over her chest and looked at his outfit. "Very nice," she said with a smile. "And you are not wearing your backplate or your weapsons for once." She caught his mischievous grin for only a mere moment before he suddenly wrapped his cloak all around her and pulled her close. She wasn't sure how the cloak was useful in such a manner but she still laughed. "Why yes actually, I come here everyday," she smiling as he realised her and pulled out a chair for her. 'There's something I am not used to.' she thought to herself as she sat down.

Ellroher pushed her in and smiled as he took his own seat. "You might as well get used to it. I'm not as unmanered and wild as I appear. I do know how to treat a lady." Breakfast was searved and Ellroher quickly, but politly, ate it. After he had pushed his plate away, he had to resist the urge to pull out his pipe. Although Alatariel didn't mind him smoking, she didn't exactly like it eather. So, ever wanting to please her, Ellroher had left it in his room. "Sence we have a moment, perhaps now would be a good time to discuse the wedding."

Alatáriël laughed. "Well, you are a bit on the wild side but I never thought you were unmannered." She sat quietly nibbling at her breakfast while watching Ellroher eat his own. She was still amused by his eating habits. She was a bit surprised he had did have his pipe with him. She wondered if it was because she really didn't like it. Alatáriël rested her chin in her hand and smiled. "Sounds like a good idea to me. Where shall we begin?"
