"So if i won't tell you, he will?" she stood up and looked him in the eye. "Jack, Melain is my freind, and i would help him. So i'l tell you this. Only I, Rayes, the Cap'n and Melain know what you seek to know. I won't break my word, its not in my intrests. But if a word gets out then Melain, and you if i have anything to do with it will be severly punished. So-don't-go-pokeing-about."

"My name is Shalem" she snarled stepping foreward and grabbing his arm. Then dropped it as quickly as she has touched it. "I'm sorry Jack, i just don't want either of you to get hurt."
(charley, i have never been adverse to my charries getting tourcherd or hurt..or dieing for that matter. If say word gets out and Rayes decidd to blame it on me then thats fine...)

Shalem sighed, nothing good would come of this she knew. She saw Rayes watching her and quickly went back to work.

Rayes had been watching them and was about to follow Jack when he left, but Charley called him and he left for the captains capin whit a grim look.
Melian heard Charley and came out on deck ones Rayes was gone. He saw Shalem, and whent to help clean. He sat down next to her and said, "Em, thank you for stopping him Shalem," he said in a low voise.

"Your my freind" she answered looking up with a smile. "And thats, well inland at least, what you do for freinds. Melain, don't tell anyone what you heard, i can't promise that next time i'l be able to help." she finished slightly sadly.

Melian got to work too.
Rayes came out of the cabin again, he seemed irritated. He walked over the deck shouting at anyone that came inn his way.
Later Charley came out, going up to the end of the deck. Just standing there and thinking and looking at the sea.
