Shalem smiled and walked up the deck to the prow, balanceing on the figure of a woman, looking out to see.

Rayes had calmed down form his bad mood. He now looked around at the crew for a while then notised Shalem. He walked over to her. "I see that you are doing nothing again. But i know why, Charley told me. But still, you have to keep your eyes open to morrow. Just wonted to remind you."

"Why on earth should i not keep them open. I want to find this place just as much as the Cap'n dose." she replied tartly. "Despite her best efforts he always managed to press her buttons. "If you object to me doing nothing so much then give me something to do; you are First Mate after all, isn't that you're job." While she had been speaking she had walked down to him and stood looking up at him (for he was a good deal taller than her) defiantly.

Charley saw them talking, but she decited to leave it.
Rayes looked down at her with hate in his eyes. "No, I wont. But only because the Captain told me not to." he looked out on the sea: "I dont understand why the Captain told you about the trip, or why she trust you." he was speacing more to himselfe than Shalem, but still he said it.

"Maybe becuse i'm not motivated by cruelty and hatred, maybe becuse i care more about the crew than about my own power." she spat back defiantly.

"Is that all you think I am girl," he spoke calmly, but with anger in his eyes. "Well I belive she trust you because you are a girl, and not a man like the rest of uss." he looked at her, "Just like I trust a man more than woman."

He now took a hold of her shirt almost lifting her of the ground: "Now you lissen close girl, you are not to say words like that to me. Simply because you dont have the right to. I am your superior, and you are not to forget that. Maby you should think twise before you use your tunge. That is my advise to you." he let go.

Shalem gasped for breath as he lifted her up, her head thrown back at the impact as he spoke to her. When he let her go she stumbled back a few paces, and stared at him with pure unadulterated hatered in her eyes, gently massageing her throught. "Don't worry sir, i won't forget." she gasped. Thunder cracked overhead and rain began to pour down on the ship as she stood umoving never takeing her eyes of his face.

"You better," he snared.
Charley who had been watching them, now gave the wheel to someone else and ran over to them, when Rayes took a grip of Shalem. She now came up to them and saw them looking at each other with pour hate in there eyes. "What is going one here," she shouted.

Shalem said nothing, only brushed the rain out of her eyes with a surprised look. With a slightly annoyed look she gave a flick of her wrist, and the rain stopped, though the clouds remaind omminousely.
