Two guards walked into the Throne Room and bowed before the Queen and mentioned that a man stood outside requesting to see her but they tried to talk her out letting him in for they did not seem to like the look of him. Alatariel just shook her head lightly and calmly asked the overprotective guards to let him in.

Deth had waited, patiently, he was here as an emissary from his father, nothing more threatening than that. And with a crisp, elegant bow he handed her the sealed letter of fine vellum, which read, that Nodonn , king of Khand, wished to make certain trade agreements, and alliances, if needed, with some of the Elven realms, and would meet twith the ruler of Imladris, at her own convenience, of this was agreeable. If not, then , of course he would not. He was not going to take offence, this letter was simply a '' feeler '', as it were, he was considering, Deth knew, all the various lands of Middle Earth, Khand was rich and had an army of great skills, both mortal and Elven, the Mathorad ( Elves ) and the Blood-Guard ( Mortals ) but they also had much they could trade out, to other lands, which was nothing to do with war.
'' My father will meet with you, if you agree, if not, then we will forget this meeting ever occured '' Deth said, calmly. '' It is entirely up to yourself and your advisors, herinya ''

Alatariel sat upon her throne and watched as the man walked in and bowed before her. She took the letter he handed to her and opened it up and read it. She wondered why Khand would choose to want to meet with Rivendell. The letter seemed harmless and posed no threat. After a few moments in thought, she looked up at the man and spoke, "Very well then, I shall agree to meet with him and hear what he has to say." she said quietly.

Haldir glided into the throne room quietly. It was the first time he'd been in, and it just so happened that he had just been appointed Stewart of Imladris. He stood before the beautiful Queen of Rivendell, Alatariel, knelt down and bowed deeply.
"My fair Lady," he said warmly. "It is a great honour to serve thee.. I shall take deep pride in doing so."
With that, he could thing of naught else to say. He smiled, stood up stood up straight and tall with his head up, and silently waited for her to finish her dealings with Deth.

Alatariel lifted her head up and watched as Haldir walked into the Throne Room and bowed before her and pleded to serve her and Rivendell. She rose from her Throne and stepped down and stood before him. The former MarchWarden of Lothlorien, she remembered. She felt no need to question him. She smiled kindly and answered, "And I glady accept your service."

Cerian had travelled from Arnor to speak with Queen Alatariel. The guards had let him in as the Counsellor of Arnor, but only after he had surrendered his weapons. "I am sorry to interrupt," he said, bowing his head as he walked closer to where the queen was standing in front of the throne. "But I am here to request your help in a building project. Many nations of the north will work together to make Annuminas into a great city once again, the stronghold of the North. Will you help us?"

Alatariel looked over and saw another man enter the Throne Room. Annuminas, the once great kingdom that fell into ruin and left deserted for many years. "We would be glad to help rebuild the city." she said with a smile.

Haldir smiled slightly and stood to the side, watching the the Queen give her counsel. This was the most important position that he had ever been appointed to and he didn't want to do poorly. He decided to chance it. "If I may, my Lady.. I could be of assistance in this project if I am needed?" He tried not to get in the way of things.

Alatariel looked back at Haldir and smiled. She admired his eagerness to want to help out in any way possible. "Actually there is, I will be sending my best elven builders to Arnor to aid in the building and I wish for you to lead them there."

"Yes, my Lady.. It shall be done.. thank you!" Haldir flipped his cloak behind his shoulders and bowed deeply before Queen Alatariel. "When must we head out?" He glanced up.

"Thank you," Cerian replied. "Your help will be very much appreciated." He then waited for the answer to Haldir's question. ((I assume you were asking the Queen...))

Alatariel turned and faced one of her guards and ordered to him to gather up the best elven builders and have them gather outside her quarters. The guard nodded and walked out of the Throne Room. She turned and faced Haldir once again and answered, "As soon as the guard returns, you may head out."

Cerian thanked the queen again. He turned to Haldir. "All help for the construction is being mustered in the city of Fornost. I would accompany you back to Arnor, but there are other things that I must do in this part of the world. So I shall see you again when I return to Fornost. Farewell." He bowed his head to both Haldir and the queen, and left.

Haldir bowed back to Cerian. "Fare you well, my Lord." Haldir watched the guard and Cerian leave the throne room. Elves weren't specialized in building, but whatever they did was delicate and perfect. The sloppiest Elf could easily outbuild a Man. This may be a wonderful experience for me, thought Haldir; he had never built anything before.

Alatariel sat herself back down on her throne. She leaned back comfortably and looked up at Haldir. "Why not have a seat." she said and pointed to the chair next to her. "It may be alittle while before the guard returns with the builders."
