The Black Gate fell into ruin in the book, in the film the whole land fell into the ground. If the Gate fell into ruin it could be repaired and if you can build a massive wall thicker than two Mumukil then I think it's slightly unfair that I'm not allowed to rebuild a small Gate that is protected by magic.
Oh, and since Gandalf just pmed me with the magic rules, so this is my reply... (Our conversaition from the pms is now continued here so everybody can see.)
The Nazgul could only be harmed by weapons forged by Dunedain, any other weapons would disintegrate on contact (at least for the Witch-King, it doesn't say anything about disintegration for the others, but it would do no damage anyway), that must be another form of magic. Also, does "Wizard" include Gil-Galad? No, but he could do magic, as could Elrond, Galadriel, Sauron, Balrogs, Glorfindel, Arwen and the Nazgul!

The witch king was killed be a Rohirrim sword by the hand of a woman alias Eowyn, not a dunedain sword. Those characters do not have the same kind of magic as wizards, there are two different things between them. A wizard uses his power threw his staff and by the power given by the valar. Characters as Gil-Galad, Elrond, Galadriel, Arwen, Glorfindel, Sauron, Balrog and Nazguls have elven and dark magic at their hands who is not the same..therefor a nazgul can not make a shield around a tower or shoot fire balls out of his finger. Powers and spells also takes alot of energy from the characters so it doesnt go without effect, if magic is used.
You can build walls but not with magic, we neither built walls with magic just of stones and hard work.

Gandalf, you do realize that power from the vala for istari, and power from the void for nazguls are TOTALLY DIFFERENT THINGS. Stop whining just because you aren't the only person on this damn (necessary swearing) board that can use magic, and btw Gandalf.... how can you tell me "you can expect we're going to defend ourselves" (of course you didn't say it in correct english, yours was more like "were gonna dfend us" ) but that's not the point, how can you say for US to expect YOU defending yourselves, yet when WE defend OURSELVES you're like "omg total godmodding!" I'm sick and tired of your hipocracy, and btw, just because this board says that you have to have a staff to do magic, doesn't mean it's following tolkien at all. The whole point was not about the magical play-off of tolkien's world that this board made up, the whole point was that our side has quite good evidence supporting everything we do that tolkien has in his books. so if you want me to apologize, i will..I'm sorry that you guys make up your own f***ing(necessary swearing) rules because you don't like the way tolkien made them

2. Refusing to take any losses or few losses. When RPing, everything should be fair, there should not be: *Player1 The Orcs on the parapet send a volley of arrows down on the Rohirrim.
*Player2 The Rohirrim recieved few casualties.(except for you guys, it's NONE)
This might leads to OOC sargumets which will disrupt the flow of the entire RPG.
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT'S HAPPENING!!!!!! (pardon my double posting)

Sauron and the Balrogs were Maiar of Morgoth, the Wizards are Maiar of other Valar; Gandalf to Manwe and Varda, Saruman to Aule, Radagast to Yavanna, Alatar and Pallando to Orome. Sauron and the Balrogs were the same (essentially) as the Wizards. The Istari only use staves because they were given flesh, which weakened them. Sauron does not need a staff as he has no flesh, the same goes for the Balrogs and for the Nazgul.
Merry stabbed the back of the Witch-King's knee with a sword made by the Dunedain for the war against Angmar, breaking the power that held him together and then Eowyn stabbed him with a normal sword and as Merry's sword had broken the magic that prevented him from dying, when Eowyn stabbed him, he died.

Meh... Trust me, I know a lot about Middle-Earth, but I have to admit, I do hate that Tolkien went and put werewolves and especially vampires in his work... Grrrrr.... Oh, and Faeora, the second instance was unnecessary, I hope you don't mind my edit...

Lol take it easy Faeora, if their is someone upheated here then it must be you. I am being as calm as a stone while reading this and I dont get upset or stressed at all, and yes that was what I said..the power of the nazguls and the power of the maiar/valar are two different things. I am just being fair as you others should be, you have no right to say that we are gonna take all the hits while your gonna stand there taking nothing..thats whats unfair. I am following the rules given on the forum but also the books of course though I believe you have not read the rules as it seems, you should calm yourself down a bit or two..your going crazy whenever I say something realistic and you cant handle that. If you keep swearing like this I can make sure you will be banned from the forum cause unnecessary swearing, we do not want that do we so calm down, ITS JUST A GAME. If you havent seen we are taking losses, we have written it all over in the posts. LOOK THE MARKED SPOTS: ."Shields up!"He yelled out to the warriors and they understood quickly what to do, the arrows and rocks was approuching in full haste but the soldiers who was in tight formation pulled up their sheilds to cover their archers and themself(like the romans). The people in loose formation was just covering themself with the shields against any arrows or rocks that approuched, [glow=red,2,300]when it hit many fell but mostly cause of the rocks that had been shot. [/glow]Gandalf himself had rode futher behind the lines and went swift threw the the pile of arrows that was storming down on them, [glow=red,2,300]wherever he rode some of his men fell dead on the ground or wounded[/glow] but as he came futher behind they were protected cause the arrows or rocks couldnt reach it. [glow=red,2,300]Some of the warriors and archers who was being covered by shields was still taking damage as they stood stand but tried to hide behind rocks and other possibilites wherever they were[/glow], Gandalf who was safe now dismounted his horse as the eagle landroval landed infront of him. Alright to Khamul my answer is that Nazguls are not maiar or valar so they cant have the same kind of power, normaly they were given power by the rings which bound them all to the one ring. *For many years the bearers used the rings to gain great wealth, prestige and power. The corrupting effect of the rings caused their bodily forms to fade over time until they had become wraiths entirely. Given form only through the attire of black cloaks and hauberks of silver mail, their original form was completely gone and invisible to mortal eyes. Their hypnotic eyes could be plainly distinguished from their dark clothing, and in a rage they appeared in a hellish fire. Untouchable to mortal men (unless blessed by weapons or tools of the ancient Elves of the First Age), they had many weapons, which included long swords of steel and flame, daggers with venomous properties, and black maces of great strength. Their arsenal of deadly armaments was not confined to physical means; they also had seemingly magical weapons of devastating power. They were surrounded by an aura of terror, which affected all living creatures; their "breath" (called the Black Breath) was poisonous, and their cries caused terror and despair in all who heard them. Some of the Nazgûl appear to have been accomplished sorcerers and used magic to devastating effect. According to Tolkien, though, it was the fear they inspired that was the chief danger: "They have no great physical power against the fearless," he wrote, "but what they have, and the fear that they inspire, is enormously increased in darkness" * And about the weapons who can kill nazguls..well actually your right but not general weapons of the dunedain that can kill but weapons who are spelled against the nazguls or the witch king could harm them. As its being said here: *When the Witch-king's fell beast attacked King Théoden of Rohan, the king's horse Snowmane lost control, and was hit by an arrow. Snowmane fell with the king atop him, and the horse landed on him, which proved fatal. The warrior Dernhelm, defending the king's body, slew the fell beast and challenged its rider. The Witch-king mocked him, telling him that no living man might slay him, but the Hobbit Meriadoc Brandybuck (Merry) wounded him with a sword that had been forged centuries before during the war between Arnor and Angmar and which contained spells against the Witch-king. The spells finally found their target, for the Witch-king was distracted and possibly seriously weakened. He was then slain by Dernhelm, now revealed as Théoden's niece Éowyn and thus no man at all. The Black Breath caused both Merry and Éowyn to become gravely ill, and they were sent to the Houses of Healing in the city. Command of the Rohirrim then passed to Théoden's nephew and heir, Third Marshall Éomer. * Either way you should modify your post about the shield around that tower cause such powers you do not have, anyway for now I will accept the other things that you writen just change that thing about the tower. Talk about my posts and talk about my methods, but don't you dare say another word about my person. I know i'm overheated, i said it, thanks for repeating me...oh wow, so you do know how to spell..oh wait..nope, nevermind, you spelled it "upheated" hmm..that's not a word I don't think.. uh oh :/ And my last word was blocked out sherlock, so don't threaten me with power you don't have
and what right do you have to tell Khamul to conform to what you want to be your reality? I think his post was perfectly acceptable within guidlines, just because a "captain" says for him to change it, why does it have to be so? He's got a higher rank than you anyway, and from your grammar and spelling, he's much more skilled at posting

Faeora, calm down. Gandalf, you say you are calm, so stop insulting Faeora and posting things that will obviously make her even more "upheated".
I have changed my post so there is no shield magic, despite me being able to do magic and that being one of the spells that all those who wield magic can use. I hope you think it is okay, because those are the only two options I'm giving, this is getting too "heated" to be worth any more "debating".
Next person to insult (by my judgement) anybody else on this topic will face the consequences written out in the Rules thread, do not try me, I am starting to lose my temper with all this senseless bickering.

Very well, I agree with you Khamul..no more word about this matter but if you Faeora try to insult me again about my grammer that you have nothing to do with, I will raport you immediatly to the admin. Not all is as perfect as you may think, others is not actually from the English speaking lands and so may have problems with such things..if you see something you normaly keep it to yourself and let it be cause you do understand it no matter what is writen if you just look proparly. I shall shut up now about this matter and continue fighting as planned and I believe you all should do the same, actually I want you Khamul to kill me in this battle after my duel with Faeora is over.

This thread was a great idea, Faeora, far more practical to discuss this battle here than in pms.
Well, though right now this situation in this thread seems incredibly tense right now, maybe we should just take a breath for one moment and think clearly again.
No one should insult anyone in this thread, in any way, if personally or else, but be mature enough to find the right language to tell in a friendly way. And we all know, not all members are from english speaking countries, so might not have the same level in english. But still, most members, even if they don`t write completely grammatically correct, write understandable in what they want to tell. I myself come from austria and think I have a quite acceptable english, but I am not perfect either, hardly anyone is. But as long as everyone else knows what the poster wanted to tell, I do not see much problem there.
And at last, then I stop blabering at you, I bid you to play fair from now on, as we planned to do from the beginning, post the exact attac methods and all that is needed according to the battle rules, that the admins have put so many thoughts on, and be fair in how many persons or creatures were killed in this attack in return.
Thank you all for listening to me, just wanted to make myself clear and that we can let those delicate topics be from now on.
