"Sometimes it does," Arwen picked a leaf, and took i over to Arawyn, placing the leafs liquid over the small wound, "You just have to see the good things about it. Sometimes the thorns are there to protect the beauty and pleasure. If life was a rose without thorns, and it grew in a feild full of cows, it would be gone. The cow would have eaten it, the thorns protect it from that cow."

"Maybe so," she said smiling a little to her mother and hugging her tightly. She missed being little, and innocent like her own children, when it had been only fun and games for her.

Arwen smiled, "Life is not bad Arawyn, and to enjoy it you have to place the evil behind. Much evil has passed over this land, yet people put it aside to live. Why else would fallen soldiers go to war?" She gave her daughter a gentle squeeze.

Arawyn sighed and let out a breath, "You're right," She said and looked at the old dog and the babies, "I need to stop worrying and be strong for the children," she told her. She wasn't ready to grow up, she realized.

Arwen nodded, "It is not easy growing up so fast is it daughter?" Arwen looked Arawyn deep in the eyes, seeing the truth behind them for a few moments. Her daughter missed her childhood, however that did not mean she dis-liked being a mother. The wind blew a strand of her hair across her face, and she slowly reached her hand to put itback to it's place.

"I miss being able to run around freely and all, and El promised that he'd go with me on a journey around Middle Earth, but now that we have children, and he must govern Dol Amroth, we have no free time," She sighed.

"It is indeed, a great sacrifice. Many people are not given the choices you have been gifted though. As hard as it may seem, if you are of royal blood, your service is to your people. You are their sacrifice. In whatever way you can do well for them you must. By having children, you have created heirs for the Gondorian Throne. You have sacrificed your hopes for the future, for your people, "Arwen looked at her daughter with a warm smile, "However that does not mean, you and Eldarion will not be able to do as you have always planned."

"I'm scared El won't take the throne," she sighed. "He loves the elf soo much, I'm afraid he'll wish to stay in Lorien or wherever with her, and I don't want to be Queen of Gondor, it's hard enough for me now," she sighed,

"Arawyn, your brother will do what he alone in his heart wants. He can deny the throne if his heart wills it," Arwen said watching, "Yet, that does not mean, you must. There is a Steward of Gondor, and they will take care of the Throne until one of Royal blood takes it."

"But what if he does bad, like Denethor? I fear for the people yet I know that if El does not take the throne, I could never carry that burdwn, why can you not stay here? Why move?" She pleaded her mother, "If you go to Arnor, then I'll never see you again!"

"Denethdor's time had come, he wasa good ruler, and did well to secure a suitable living of all Gondorians, until the news of your father being the only living heir, began to spread about, and the ring's re-discovering. As you know, all men were corrupt and the ring did strange things to them, therefore Denethdor did go slightly senial at the ending of his rule and life, "She smiled at Arawyn, "Though you do not always place such hardship on a steward, for one stewards bad deeds, they deserve a chance do they not?"
For a moment Arwen kindeled herself in peace, accumalating her thoughts and responses to Arawyn's Questions and statements, "Your father never wanted the Throne Arawyn, he never wanted the power to govern men's lives as he does now. Your father misses his old life, he wishes to travel like he did as a Dunedain ranger again. I miss the sweetness of not having to carry such a burden as well Arawyn, and in turn your father and I are aging. We both need to settle down, if we continue such ruling, we will most likely end up as the late Steward."
"Sweet Daughter, we do not leave the burden of ruling such a foundation to you, nor your brother, we would not puposely throw such a burden upon the bpoth of you when you both still are quite young. We will still keep our rule and title, however it is time Eldarion began to understand the concepts of ruling, therefore, we shall be handing over a smaller proportion of the ruling to Eldarion so that he might learn, and we will still be about to guide him, as Aragorn's father was not."

"But..." Arawyn was a fighter and she never wanted to lose an argument but how could she reply to that? She had no clue at all and so she sat there silently, cradling her son in her arms. "When will El come back home?" She asked her mother, she missed her brother dearly.

Arwen waited during he pause, knowing Arawyn would never give up, without a fight, and when she was silenced, she was utterly beaten, "I do not know. I have not heard from your brother since he left. I was hoping atleast you would know. Afterall, you and your brother have a strong relationship."

"I thought so too! I sent him a message just before the children were born and I haven't gotten a reply. I'm worried about him," she sighed. Then her son woke and she knew he was hungry, problem was, it was an open place. "Is it okay Nan?" She asked softly, knowing she knew what she meant.

Arwen nodded, "Indeed, do what you must to keep your child happy. As for sending the letter to Eldarion, perhaps I may send one, then he may poor more heed to letters from his family, then gallivanting across the countryside like some love sick puppy," arwen could not handle but giggle, "Do you think he may have found his true love?" Arwen still had her child streak, and loved gossip. Yet her pride tended to make sure she did not show too much of her child-side.
