Hey peeps.
So, if you're reading this you've probably done one of three things: Firstly, you may have remembered MER and returned to see if anything's happened. Secondly, you may have received the mass email that I sent out regarding this thread! Or thirdly, you may just be a guest who has stumbled on this site and are therefore unlikely to have a clue what I'm talking about.
If the latter is the case, I should probably say that this site is very much dead (as you have most likely gathered).
If either of the other options is the case, then welcome back! I'll be checking back here occasionally to see if anybody has posted so don't give up if you don't get any reply for a few days.
Anyway, let me know what you're up to atm in rl (if you so wish), what you're doing in the rp world (if you are still an active member of it) and anything else you feel like! I myself will probably bother to post stuff about myself when (if) somebody else replies, otherwise I may just be wasting my time... Which I may have already done enough of writing this! Well, I'm beginning to ramble so I guess I'll round this off.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and, hopefully, reply! I hope you're all well.
Yours, Khamûl

I suppose I may be filed under those who came at the beckon of a mass e-mail.
It came out of nowhere but it was not an unpleasant surprise as even while I have since moved on to other projects I cannot help but to feel a great sense of fondness for this site.
Though my involvement in it goes back years, at least, and anything I have posted is either archived waaaaaaaay back or deleted both of which are fine with me as if I were to start back again I would like to kind of start fresh again.
(I remember joining this site while I was in my first year of college and I am now well into my Career, that is how far back we are talking)

This is quite nostalgic. I stopped rp'n after this place died until stumbling upon another active site last year. For those that are interested it's active and there are a couple of people who used to frequent this site that are now over there. Link - amiddleearth.proboards.com/index.cgi

Greetings everyone, long time no talk. I got your message Khamul, more then one message actually, due to the many acounts I had on this site, xD, Really sorry I left all of this, and I miss those times. Work has taken most of my time, although lately I have began to miss doing rp with people, and not long ago i actually began creating a new site, it is not done yet..and its not about lotr, but I wanted to make an original fantasy rp...and if you are interested to look, here is what I am working with at the moment: kingdoms-fall.proboards.com/index.cgiIt really has been a loooong time since I have been on this site and I really miss it, I miss all of you in fact. Glad that you made this thread Khamul. And hehe..I am still a lotr fan, earned more knowledge about the world as well over the years and I have been doing some larping, its quite fun, kinda like role play on forums but the only difference is that you do it in real life. XD. And yes Neurion, hehe I was a member of that site as well...although something came up and I suddenly vanished for no reason...cannot remember why, but really sad that I left it.

Link - amiddleearth.proboards.com/index.cgiSame site I found after this one died. I too am rather fond of this place. It was the second LOTR site that I became very attached to after the last one I was involved with died. I would love for the place to become active again, even if it is just a few of us old timers.

Yeah, I am game for another round, will start working this autumn. And hopefully I won`t get knocked in the head and loose all the English I have learned since this site slowly died.

Talk about getting an email from the past! I do remember this site, I think I was here at the start of it and enjoyed myself quite a bit, A LOTR-nut as I was. Unfortunately i seem to remember that at the time I did not really understand that Role playing was about human interaction rather than my personal and ultimately fruitless grand schemes of taking over middle earth with my ridiculous imaginative armies. However, my writing capabilities will be occupied for at least a month forwards, with exams fast approaching. Also I don't got as much free time as a Uni student as i did as a 15(?) year old. But ill see if i can find the time if you get this place up and running.

Haha, well I must say it is fun to see so many still loving this site, even it has been years since its been active. It makes one wish to reopen the site, and since this thread started I have really thought a lot about it. Yes, well it seems like many of us was young when we began to rp on certain forums, specially this one, but I guess many has grown since then...and well Al`Ketar, if none had tried to take over Middle Earth, it would not had been that much fun, I loved the old battles on this site, even many of them lead to conflicts. Anyway all the drama and all that went into making this site good, really made the site good. And I miss it as much as all of you do. I`ll see if manage to get this site up and running again, but I cannot promise anything, depends on my other activites as well....anyway it sure would be cool to see the site up and running. Some changes would need to be done, not many changes, but some. I got ideas, however we`ll see.

Oh man I think I was like 12 when I first joined this site. I know for a fact that my writing skills have improved....
I have the itch to play this character again. Once again I'm soooooooooo down for a reunion. I'm so close to a 1000 post too... Which is weird... I feel like I should have reached that a long ass time ago.

Haha yeah XD, well you might have had 1000 posts before Xhel...I am not sure, I know at least some of the threads on this site was deleted by an accident years ago, although most of it should be here. Anyway what do you people think if we move the years a little a head, if we are to reopen the site, for example...what do you people think of moving the site 123 years after Saurons downfall? To the coronation of Eldarion? Here below are some ideas I got, see and tell me what you think: Middle Earth The New Shadow Year 121, Fourth Age - 123 Years after Saurons downfall, Eldarion (Aragorns son) gets crowned High King. - On Eldarions coronation, a dark clad woman appear before him. - The Dark clad woman names herself Herumor and speaks of Eldarion`s downfall and the coming of a new evil. - Herumor leaves and everyone else returns to business. - Eldarion governs the Reunited Kingdom - An evil rises within the kingdom, The White tree is growing darker at its roots. - Eldarion wishes to seek an eternal alliance with Rohan, proposing his sister to marry Elfwine. (Eomers son) - Eldarion Sister is already in love with Elboron, Eldarions best friend, but wishes to follow her duty as the King`s sister. - A large portion of Rohan supports the idea of the marriage, while few fear to loose their right of the land. - The Slaves of Nurn has grown independent and they rule now the fallen Mordor, with Minas Ithil as their capital. - Elboron the son of Faramir and Eowyn, rules Ithilien as a Prince and a Steward of the Reunited Kingdom, being a good friend to Eldarion. - Most of the Elves have left, those who remain has become wanderers like the Dunedain of old. - Moria and Angmar still stands lonely and dangerous. - The Easterlings and the Khand is constantly fighting each other. - The Harad has stayed neutral for some years. -Umbar is ruled by the Reunited Kingdom, but crime still occurs there. Many believes Herumor and her group of plotters live there. - The Resistance grows larger, and difficulties begins to spread throughout the Reunited Kingdom, Eldarion gets troubled by this a lot. These are just some ideas I have, although moving the time forward, don't necessary mean that you all loose the characters you played, some could still be alive...some of their children could be alive and so on...its a good moment to start over again for those who wish it, but I would like to hear what you people think first?

hm...what? XD Hehe yeah, well that`s good, if we are to re-open the site I then I could need all help I can get. Btw correction to myself, the plot ideas I wrote above is a little wrong. I looked upon the age difference and figured that almost three generations has passed if we set the plot time in year 121 fourth age, although Eldarion and his siblings is still alive in that period, and he is crowned during that time. Strange how longer some person can live then others in this Middle Earth world.
