Tharivor has quite a mild temper but can sometimes get quite angry. Centuries of living in Lorien has given him great appreciation for nature and its beauty. Tharivor considers dwarves and noldor very rash and quick to anger but has a great liking for Sindar. He refuses to trust any dwarves or noldor.
Detailed History:
Tharivor was created by Eru along with the other Maiar and Valar at the dawn of time. He chose to serve Irmo and dwelt in Lorien for thousands of years until the exile of the Noldor. He chose to journey to Arda in mortal form and witness the amazing events that were unfolding there. He chose Doraith as his abode because of its protection and also because it reminded him of Lorien in the distant west. He soon rose to become a soothsayer and adviser to King Thingol because of his wisdom and skill at interpreting dreams and visions. He advised Thingol to continue isolation from the rest of Arda. He also advised Thingol against accepting the Silmaril from Beren. After the fall of Doraith he fled back to Lorien where he remained for both the second and third ages. However recently he received a vague vision of great evil befalling middle earth. He immediately departed to warn the Sindar, whom he still feels a liking for. He continues dislike both dwarves and noldor as he blames them fro the fall of Doraith. Like many other maiar in Arda he does not use his true name but uses the name which is given, in this case Nolmo Irmondur.

War, the deaths of the last Sindar, a repeat of the fall of Doraith.

Peace, Sindar, Irmo

War, evil, dwarves
APPEARANCE
Facial Appearance:
An elderly human with a long white beard

A long robe of grey and green

Role play Sample:
Nolmo strode across the forest with purpose. Since arriving in Eryn Lasgalen he had met a few elves but none had listened to his warnings. Surely they should recognise a maiar!! But he felt certain that the leaders here would heed his message. From the elves he met he had discerned that there was a general feeling that an era of peace had fallen across middle earth. This made his mission all the more urgent.
* The staff's powers are:
Vision- Gives me a very vague vision of the future.
Dream interpretation- Allows me to interpret dreams.
Send dream- Allows me to send dreams.
Tranquility of Lorien- The staff emanates an aura of calm and serenity.
Consult Irmo- Allows me to speak with Irmo (but only if Irmo consents and that is very very rarely)
All of these spells and only be done on rare occasions apart from Dream interpretation which can be done once a day.
