Personality: Eothain is a noble man. He won both renown and honor at during the War of the Ring. Though he is a little quick tempered, he his kind to all who befriend him.
Likes: Horses, good drink, slaying his enemies.
Dislikes: Those who say bad things about his home.
Strengths: Eothain is an expert rider and a fierce fighter.
Weakness: He is terrified of bats.
Weapons and Armor: Eothain wears the armor of a Royal Guard. He caries an array of weapons with him that are fitting for one of his stature.
History: Eothain was born in 3000 year of the Third Age. His father was Elfhelm, Marshal of Rohan. When he was only seven, a band of orcs attacked the village where he and his mother, Hild, were visiting some friends. Eothain took an ax used for chopping wood and killed two orcs as they attacked before his father came with riders and slew them all.
Shortly afterwards, Elfhelm took his son as his esquire and began to train him. Eothain very quickly became a skilled horseman and a fearless fighter. At the age of 14, wile riding with a patrol, they riders were ambushed by orcs. Their captain was slain by an arrow, but Eothain regrouped the riders and overcame the orcs. For his heroism, Eothain was made a rider of the king’s household. He rode with Eomer often and became his second.
Eothain was 19 years old when he and Eomer surrounded and slew the Uruk-hai. When they met Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli, it was Eothain who spoke against giving the three their horses. His attitude changed however during the Battle of Helm’s Deep. There he was saved by Gimli when they retreated back to the caves. Afterward, Eothain held them in high respects. It was also at the Battle of Helm’s Deep that Eothain was wounded and received the large scare over his left eye.
However, the wound was not enough to keep him from riding to Isengard and seeing his king deal with Saruman. Eothain then rode to Dunharrow for the great marshalling. Eothain rode with this father to the Battle of the Pelennor fields. After the Battle was over, Eothain went with his king and friend, Eomer, to the Black Gate.
After he returned home, Eothain became friends with Ellroher the elf. Ellroher was building Dunharrow into a beautiful city and made Eothain captain over it. After Ellroher married the Lady Alatariel of Rivendell, he appointed Eothain to act as Steward when he was gone, which was very often. So Ellroher appointed Eothain as Lord of Dunharrow.
