Detailed History:
Barrick was born in southern Harad. Because he was the eldest he was sent to join the Harad army, there he was put into the cavalry unit and there he trained and fought with the Harad army.
On a winter raid into the lands of light Barrick who was now in control of a unit of 1000 men was told that a village to the east had been killing many Harad villagers. Barrick was ordered to raid and kill everyone in the village. After planning his attack Barrick attacked at night his men hacked down anyone that was out of their houses and burnt alive those that hid inside.
As the sun came up the next day Barrick walked through the village to see that the only villagers here were unarmed, many of them were women and children, the men were farmers and not a warrior was in sight. Anger that Barrick had never felt before welled up inside him, guilt over rode his emotions.
Riding day and night, his horse near death he arrived at his generals house in Harad. Fighting his way past the few guards that stood guard he drew his sword and in one swift thrust stabbed the general through his stomach up into his chest.
Barrick let himself be taken by the guards and he was then put into the cell before being exiled from Harad. A few loyal soldiers, two of them friends from his childhood rode with him when he left they owe their allegiance to no one and a mere mercenaries living off what money they get from lords who need extra arms or loot from the ends of battles they have survived.
