The Tattoo of the Eye are an organization almost separate from the rule of the King or Queen of Rhun. A Guild of Assassins that used to rule Rhun many years ago, it includes many prominent figures in the Rhunish nobility. Rhun's last Queen, Morwen, was trained by the Tattoo but had no real control over them, and because they do not challenge her power, she left them well alone.
Commander Sereghin was one of the Tattoo and was trusted by the Queen to deal with the Guild if they ever have cross interests, however, unknown to the Queen, Sereghin had often changed Morwen's orders for the Guilds benefit.
The Guild can be identified by a black tattoo of a styalised eye on the right upper arm, they also nearly always are named after snakes, though the more prominent Members have Usenames for everyday use. I.e. Sereghin's real name is Mamber.
Known Members:
Elapidis, Tatteyen Head Leader. (Unknown)
Sereghin (Mamber), Tatteyen Commander of the Armies and Lady of Tazlure. (Dead, Killed by Queen Morwen)
Causus, Tatteyen, (Unkown rank and whereabouts)
Krait, Soldier under Captain Rawhide in the Infantry. Suspected to have dishonored the Guild in some way. (Dead, Executed my Sereghin)
Calitain (California Mt. ) A Friend of Mamber's and a messenger for the Guild, he is used by her to do the jobs she can no longer do as Commander. (Unknown)
Dugitae, Young girl, Tatteyen's future Queen.
Edit: Sereghin's treachery was revealed by Commander Rawhide and executed personally by Morwen as an example to the others. Krait killed by Sereghin on Tatteyen orders after she had used him.
Calitain is still at large through the Tatteyen Family have learned from their mistakes and now he acts as a go between between Morwen and the Family. The Tatteyen had given up their plans of ruling Rhun for a while and had mostly worked for Morwen.
Current Activity
The Tatteyen have remained quite, but are begening to become active once again. They use fear, bribery, and other underhanded metods of controlling people. They are believed to be at the head of the slave trade in Rhun.
Queen Morwen has steped down from her rule as Queen of Rhun to live with her dragon. She appointed Rawhide as her sucsesor. But Rawhide does not wish to rule. So after one short year, begged Morwen to return to the throne. Morwen agreed, but then dissapeared without a trace.
By Rhun law, only one of noble blood may rule, unless the preveios ruler named a sucsessor. But their must be evidence that the former ruler is dead before the sucsessor can clame the throne. The Tatteyen have brought a body they claim to be that of Morwen's and that since she had no children, that they have a Member of royal blood who claims the thone.
Rawhide, who is tecnically the ruler of Rhun, does not think that the body which they claim to be the Queen's is Morwen. Therefore, he will not surrender the thrown to the Tatteyen. The Tatteyen can not yet apose Rawhide openly because he controlls all of Rhun's millitary and the solders love him.
