The Easterling armies of Rhun are divided into three groups. The infantry, the calvary, and the wain-riders. Each group is highly trained and fight together as one. The Easterlings are extremely disciplined fighters who love war. All men once they reach 15 are taken for five years and taught how to fight. After three years, they are allowed to return to their homes, or, can stay and become regular solder in Rhun's army.
The Infantry:
Rhun's foot solders. They are made up of 40 chapters. A Chapter consists of 1000 men. Each Chapter is commanded by a Commander who trains the men in one Field of specialty. All Chapters are trained in the use of a wide range of weapons and tactics, but each one also has a strong point. One Commander may spend extra time training with bows. Or another with pikes.
The Infantry's weapons consist of two different Halberds, a 12 foot and a 5 foot, for long and close range fighting. They also have scimitars and shields. The Archers use a variety of bows from short bows for close range shooting, Long bows for farther away targets, and Re-curved bows for armor piercing.
The Calvary:
The Easterling Calvary is a mixture of archers and lances. They ride toward their enemy wile raining down arrows onto there lines. Then, before they reach the enemy, they turn and retreat. They are also used to flank an enemy that is engaged with the Infantry.
The Wainriders:
Are Chariots pulled by teams of horses. They are deadly for running over men wile shooting. The Wainriders are mostly used as Rhun's border defense because they work best on flat ground.
The Rhunzons:
An elite group of women that were origionaly the Queen's bodygaurds. They have now been turned into an army of their own. Consisting of three Chapters, they are as fearce and deadly as any other Chapter in Rhun. The Rhunzon don't march away to war, but they are always ready to defend their homes.
(Do to time, I must finish this later. I've also got to go home and double check my notes on Easterling weaponry.)
NOTE: Sence Army Counts seem to change every time I check, the Numbers posted here will stay the same. But when a battle arises, the number I use will be the official ones given by Aragorn. Curse him for changing things on me again!
