Total Army Count: 1,000
Infantry: 600
Pikemen: 150
These soldiers are men armed with long pikes. They are arranged in a Phalanx formation so that the ends of the pikes from the second and third rows are pointing out in front of the men in the first row. This means that before most enemies can even reach the first row of men to fight them they have to navigate their way through three rows of spear- and pike-points, whilst constantly being stabbed by said spear- and pike-points. These men also have swords as a secondary weapon, so that when the men get too close, they can drop their primary weapon and draw their sword to fight on a closer level, with the other pikes behind them to back them up. These men also have shields on their backs so that if they come under arrow-fire they can, if not in close combat, crouch down and let the shields take most of the arrows.
Swordsmen: 400
These soldiers are orcs armed with swords and shields as their primary weapons, and shortbows as their secondary. The shields have a strap allowing the orcs to either hold them in their left hand or sling them over their shoulder in order to fire their bow.
Olog-Hai: 50
The Olog-Hai are Trolls that are bigger, stronger and more intelligent than a normal troll. Originally created by Sauron, some of the survivors after Sauron's final defeat and some of those newly created in the Troll Pits of Angmar now serve Khamûl in the army of Angmar. They are armed with the weapon of their preference, often a sword and shield, a spear, an axe or sometimes a club or mace but also, more rarely they can be armed with a morning-star or even sometimes a bow or a crossbow (more like a portable ballista). Unlike everything else in the army, the Olog-Hai do not work as a unit, but instead they fight individually, often preferring to be surrounded while fighting, so they do not have to worry about hurting others on their side. They wear a loose but very thick and heavy metal plate armour over their main body, and a similarly made helmet. This is mainly to protect from arrows as in close combat, it is easy to hit the Olog-Hai without injuring it, as it's hide is thick enough to protect against most blows.
Ranged Infantry: 100
Dark Rangers:100
Although small in number, these men are the best of the best. They used to be Dunedain before they were corrupted and turned to evil and now they serve Khamûl. Just like the uncorrupted Dunedain, they have reached the peak of skill wilderness warfare. They can track with great skill, fire a bow with accuracy to rival that of the elves and fight in close combat with swift movements and immense precision. They are mostly used for ambushes, although they are sometimes used in the open field of battle as a longer ranged unit as opposed to the shorter range of the orc infantry.
Cavalry: 300
Wolf Riders: 100
The Wolf Riders are specially-trained orcs armed with one-handed spears and shields with a sword as a secondary weapon. They ride the Snow Wolves of Angmar, a breed of wolf well adapted for the cold and thus more suited to combat at home rather than away although this does not make them worse when away, but better at home as while their opponents are sliding around on the ice, they are adapted so that they can run at full speed and stop just as fast as normal even in these conditions. Also, they are adapted to be able to survive the freezing temperatures of the North while in a drawn-out siege or conflict, most opponent's steeds (mostly likely horses) will freeze to death.
Snow Trolls: 200
The Snow Trolls are smaller than their brethren, but a lot faster. Because of this they have been classed as cavalry. Their charge is much stronger than that of even a heavy cavalry unit, as despite being smaller than other Trolls, they are still bigger than a horse and rider, and often faster due to the horses being weighed down by their rider, their rider's armour and their own armour. The Snow Trolls are armed mostly with spears or long-handled warhammers, although some prefer to wield two swords, their thick hides making up for their lack of defense whilst wielding two weapons. Unlike the Olog-Hai these Trolls work well in groups, charging in many formations to crush enemy troops, even cavalry, beneath them.
