Now, for the first time since the third age of Middle Earth, the orc pits of Mordor would be reopened. Many of the orc pits that had been used in Mordor previously would not be used because of the barren land of the destroyed plains of Gorgoroth, but those in the mountains, those near the mountains would be reopened and the orcs would once again be spawned. Canos preferred to use orcs rather than humans because orcs took less time to find. Humans had to be grown and it could take twenty years for a harvest of fresh humans. It only took weeks for orcs. Canos had to work with mostly at first because that was what his people were. They were the slaves of the orcs before but now they were his slaves. Canos would surely use the orcs once again to ensure the participation of his people.
The only dilemma that Canos faces was finding the pits. He had to know where to look for the new orc. However, with his palantir, he was able to find the pits and the excavation began. Canos walked through the first pit, eyeing everything to make sure that everything was going according to plan and on schedule. He was by himself for now. He wore a heavy chain mail suite covered in black garbs. His two swords were at his sides. They were not impressive weapons. They were two feet long and thing; but they were deadly, especially when Canos used them. Canos walked along the wooden ramps and several men came towards him and Canos greeted them.
“What news?”
“We have begun to uncover the orc sir. There are many here and they are not hard to find. Who will bring you an army.”
“See that you do.” Canos commanded with a bold and stern voice, pushing past the man as they moved to get out of his way. Canos had darkness in his eyes now that seemed to instill on all those that looked upon him; or at least, all but one. Canos carried his palantir in hand, never letting it leave his sight. It was this object that had given him the foresight to begin this campaign. Canos was lucky that the Gondorians had given the city of Minas Morgul to him. He thought that it was amusing that they were so blindly obvious to what was about to happen. Then again, they were so worried about rebuilding their kingdoms, they probably didn’t give him any mind. They were fools.
