Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What if Rulers are in-active?
A: We (Admins) will need to be notified of the rulers absence. (Wait One week). We will then send them a PM (Personal message) notifying them. We will wait two days, and if no activity is possessed, an email will be sent. We will then wait one further week. If they have not replied to any messages, they will loose their title, and another named in their place.
Q: What if they are active, only once or twice per-week?
A: In truth, we cannot force one to post more. As long as they are posting as often as possible, then that is all we can do. You have to realise, some people have lives out of the internet, and this means that they can get on at different times. As long as they are posting at least once a week, that is all we can ask.
Q: Can I choose the person who would take over my place?
A: If you were leaving, and notified us, Yes. If you have a second on charge, the Admins will go to that person first, and ask if they are willing to take up rulership. If not, it is up to the next person that comes along.
Q: I haven't signed in on this account for awhile. I’m just a Steward but does that really matter anyway?
A: Yes, this does matter. You have accepted a responsibility, and you must at least sign in once a week. If you can not be on, simply state it, and you will be excused. If you are un-able to be on once every week, and can only get on once every fortnight, then perhaps it would be easier giving up your stewardship to someone more active.
Q: Can you have dragons in a army?
A: Yes, though only one. Only one dragon can be present per army (from whatever land). Basically Only one dragon is allowed per league (Also dragons can only be present within evil armies, it would be sad to hear that Lorien had a dragon. Therefore Eagles, whom are just as powerful as Dragons are allowed within the good leagues). Though strict rules are present for the accepting of dragons. (Please Read Rules: Dragons) Also note, Dragons of the fourth age, are no where near as powerful as Smaug (The First Created Dragon-Evil)
Also, please read this, as it may be helpful: www.glyphweb.com/Arda/d/dragons.html
Q: Could someone have the eagles as dragons?
A: Yes. The Eagles have played an exceptional role in LOTR. There is no mentioning that they have died out. (If you know of anything relating to the Eagles, please don’t hesitate to alert an admin).
Q: Since the Fell Beasts were destroyed, can the Nazgûl ride Dragons? If so, when more than one Nazgûl is in a battle, can only one be mounted?
A: I see no wrong with this. Yes, the Nazgûl can ride Dragons, and if they are present in battle, same rule applies. Only one, per league. If two leagues participate in the battle then two dragons can be present.
Q: So only allowed one eagle allowed per battle??
A: The Eagles are exactly the same as Dragons. (Please Read above_
Q: Can anybody use magic, or is it just wizards?
A: Just Wizards and their Apprentices can wield magic. As far as I know, of my knowledge from Tolkien’s work, even wizards had a limited magic, and those that were wizards had been sent from.
Q: I don’t really like the idea of walking around with a staff! Is it really not possible to do magic without? If not, can I use something closer to a wand?
A: Yes, you can use a wand. Though staffs are the most major prospect associated to a wizard, other then their hat. Though if you prefer to use a wand, be our Ranger.
Q: Can swords do magic?
A: No. Swords are not a magical weapon. They can be deemed magic, for stealing evil life, but they can possess no real magic.
