Alatariel smiled and nodded. Orophin. Of course, now she remembered. "Welcome Orophin, Brother of Haldir." she said kindly. She had no idea who the Elf Maiden was. She noticed Itarildë's odd behavior. She knew she missed her ada and she seemed to turn into somewhat of a wreck when he was away.

"I cannot say for sure," Alatariel said. "As far as I know, he and Rúmil went off on a small trip. He did not say where or for what reason. I did not ask for I did not believe it was my place to. I do not question his reasons for going away, afterall he is free to come and go as he pleases as long as I am told."

Alatariel smiled sympathetically. "I know you miss your ada young one but fear not, nothing will happen to him." Alatariel's eyes now turned to the unknown elleth. She noticed that she spoke little. "I do not believe we have met before. Who may you be?" she asked curiously.

Eruraina bowed her head to Alatariel. "My lady, I am Eruraina,"she replied. "I am an old friend of Haldir's. I too, was a member of the guard along with him and his brothers. I had not seen him in many years and after hearing that he now resides here in Rivendell, I felt that I had to come visit him."

((Alright, I'm bad at making an entrance after a long absence, but ah well, I'll give it a shot *shrug*))
Haldir and Rúmil galloped in silence, through the woods of Imladris and back towards what was once called the Last Homely House. They had left for a long time to follow a trail of Orcs that had been said to have escaped the guards of Imladris and heading back towards their lairs with new information on Rivendell. Haldir had realised that they could not let this happen, for if the Orcs made it safely back to their masters, a war would break out in Imladris and their beautiful woods would be burnt to the ground and destroyed. So, his brother Rúmil, a company of Elves and he had followed the Orcs' trail on horseback and had attacked the moment they were sighted. With great difficulty, they had subdued the enemy and stilled their black hearts for good. Unfortunately, they had lost a great deal of Elves in this raid, many of which had been their great friends.
So now, they were returning home, with good news and with bad. Haldir wondered how Itarildë was getting on without him to keep her company and to play with her, like all little Elves loved doing. He knew though that she would be doing well in Alatariel's care, and that was a comfort to him. Deep in thought, he did not notice as they passed through the clearing and to the elvenhome deep in the heart of Rivendell.
"My brother, are you well?" said Rúmil, breaking their uncomfortable silence. "We are here now." He leaned over and shook Haldir's arm gently.
Haldir looked up and beheld the familiar sight of their warm and pleasant dwelling, where Alatariel and Itarildë were. He smiled for once in many weeks and turned to his brother. "I am fine, Rúmil," he said. "I am glad that we are home at last." He and Rúmil dismounted their steeds and approached the entrance, as their horses trotted off towards the stables on their own, knowing where to go.

Alatáriël heard the sound of hooves and familiar voices nearing the city. Haldir and Rúmil had finally returned after a long time away. Itarildë, being the most excited suddenly bolted towards Haldir, happy that he had finally come home. She had been impatiently waiting for him to return. She had enjoyed taking care of the child while he was away but she sure was a handful. Alatáriël smiled and followed behind the Elfling to greet the two brothers. "Haldir, Rúmil, welcome back." she said happily. She looked at Haldir and noticed that something didn't seem right. He appeared troubled for she could see it in his eyes. "Haldir my friend, something is troubling you. What is wrong?" she asked with concern.

Haldir - thrilled to see his daughter once more - picked Itarildë up in a tight hug and swung her 'round. "Itarildë," he said joyously. "I have missed you so. Orophin is here also?" He looked curiously around as though expecting his brother to materialize from a tree, which Elves strangely did do quite frequently.
He turned around at the sound of the Alátariël's bell-like voice and bowed to her, as Rúmil did the same beside him. "My lady, it has been long," he said warmly, though for an Elf, a half a year was definitely not a long time. But all the troubles that they had underwent on their little chase had made it seem longer. "There is nothing troubling me," he said with the same joy in his voice as when he picked Itarildë up. The last thing he wanted to do was announce the death of all those Elves during their warm and happy reunion. He would tell the Lady later on in private. Rúmil opened his mouth - evidently to point out that no, Haldir was not fine - but Haldir nudged him slightly and he fell silent.
Behind Alátariël came Orophin, clad in a familiar grey and beaming as always. "Orophin!" said Haldir, unable to contain his real joy, and also trying to prolong the greetings and steer every conversation away from their orc raid. "It is so good to see you," he said, putting Itarildë down and striding over to his brother, throwing him a brotherly hug. Rúmil laughed and smiled a greeting to Orophin, whom he saw every day in Lórien, and clapped both of his brothers on their backs.

Alátariël smiled at the joyous reunion between Haldir and Itarildë. It was hard when a parent and child were apart for a period of time. Everyday, Itarildë would say she missed her ada and wanted him to come home. And now, he was finally home. She tipped her head to Haldir in return. Indeed it felt like it had been long even though it wasn't. It almost seemed rather odd without his presense. She tilted her head to the side. Alátariël knew was wrong but Haldir was covering it up. She raised at eyebrow at Rúmil. It had appeared he was about to say something that he shouldn't, causing Haldir to nudged him as if telling to keep quiet. With that, it was made perfectly clear that something happened. If Haldir wished to speak to her later, then he would do so. Pushing the thought out of her mind, she smiled once again as Orophin appeared and greeted Haldir and Rúmil. By watching them, Alátariël could only guess that it may have been some time since the three brothers had seen each other at once.
