Emyn Arnen is a series of hills in Ithilien, south of Osgiliath. Emyn Arnen (Sindarin "Hills beside the water") was home to a family of Númenórean nobles, and from them came a Húrin of Emyn Arnen, who became steward to King Minardil of Gondor and later founded the line of the House of Húrin. After the events of the War of the Ring, Faramir son of Steward Denethor II became Prince of Ithilien, and made Emyn Arnen his home. He and his descendants therefore also became known as Lords of Emyn Arnen.

It's been a long time now that Eowyn lived in Ithilien, in the wonderful green hills of Emyn Arnen. She loved the new life she now lived together with Faramir in these wonderful lands, even if it was a bit difficult in the beginning because Gondor was a different culture and land than her homeland Rohan. But she felt as if she was home in this land now, and she enjoyed the time she spent with Faramir.

Faramir that had been out hunting for food was now returning when he could see his lovely wife in the distance, the white princess of the ithilien woods. He loved her and was glad to see her again on a such beautiful day, he went over as fast he could while he had a dear on his back while behind him more of his ranger hunting team returned. The people needed food and so they needed to hunt but also they got helps from the elves that had moved their, making such wonderful bread as lembas to keep a human stomach ful of just one bite. As he approuched Eowyn he waved kindly and was glad to see her, moving fast as he could over to her so they could greet each other.

Eowyn's eyes lit up when she saw her husband return from hunting, apparently he and his men have been successful with hunting down several deers, but she had no doubt in that actually. When Faramir came up towards her, she smiled and walked towards him as well, grinning broadly all over her face. She still couldn't believe how happy he could make her. She stopped a little in front of him, actually wanting to hug him though because of the deer on his back that seemed to be a little difficult. She leaned up to him and gave him a small kiss on the cheek before asking "Good morning, my love, how was the hunting? I missed you in the meantime!"
