Cristin watched as the battle formed and the soldiers took their formations. It seemed that the infantry had learned from the dwarfs when it came to how to defend themselves from arrows. Of course however, any sort of formation has a weakness. Cristin happened to think of one. Once his own men had reached their posts and had begun to fire down upon the infantry units Cristin turned to an officer uruk. " Listen, we will not kill many men this way. They will be upon us in an hour. Here is what you shall do. If Khamul objects, so be it, but if you don't follow through, i will kill you. Now, the oil you have for the protection of the gate, put in something and fire it from the balistas and catapults onto the square legions. Our fire arrows will then light everything to fire and they will burn to the ground. Go NOW!" Cristin order and pushed the uruk with a heavy arm. The uruk moved to prepare the catapults and to inform Khamul of what was about to happen. Cristin turned and looked at the enemy, pulling his bow back. He took aim expertly. Twang!

Ji Undur waited patiently beside Khamul, waiting for his orders. Watching the proceeding of the battle he stood still, devoid of all emotion or feeling. Turning his head to face Khamul he spoke, "What are my orders my lord?" saying the words slowly in his raspy voice. He harboured a strong distaste for the opposite army, and he wanted to destroy them for it.

As the shooting at the black gate had started and the enemy was gathering to defence, Landroval the brother to Gwahir had come to aid his friends since 8 other eagles was also there to help. So long he was approuching he was hidden high into the sky were none could see him but then when he was right above the camp of the Reunited Kingdom, he lot out a scream. Watching the eagles below surrendering the camp, when they heard it they understood what to do. Swift and quick they went of to find some huge rocks around the camp that they picked up with their huge claws but was careful by the arrows and rocks that was approuching that the enemy had fired.
When all 8 eagles, including Landroval had found huge stones that was that big who needed to be held with both claws they quickly went over the black gates and so started to drop their cargo stright towards the dragons below that was covering the enemy and also against the towers and walls of the black gate. One of the stones was heading stright above the one tower and if it hit it would tear apart the whole tower with the enemy ontop. Landroval ordered the eagles to continue to do so as he himself went of flying to find Mithrandir that was somewhere in the group below, when he found him the eagle landed before him and offered the white wizard to sit ontop. The other eagles flyed all over above the enemy, taking cover by any arrows that would approuch and then picked up rocks in between at the mountain sides..making more stones fall down but also two of the eagles tried to start a fall of stones towards the enemy inside.

Gandalf was sitting on his horse shadowfax as he looked over his army but then he could hear a sound of arrows and rocks approuching from behind, he turned around slowly and infront of him he could really see a great arrows coming nearer."Shields up!"He yelled out to the warriors and they understood quickly what to do, the arrows and rocks was approuching in full haste but the soldiers who was in tight formation pulled up their sheilds to cover their archers and themself(like the romans). The people in loose formation was just covering themself with the shields against any arrows or rocks that approuched, when it hit many fell but mostly cause of the rocks that had been shot. Gandalf himself had rode futher behind the lines and went swift threw the the pile of arrows that was storming down on them, wherever he rode some of his men fell dead on the ground or wounded but as he came futher behind they were protected cause the arrows or rocks couldnt reach it. Some of the warriors and archers who was being covered by shields was still taking damage as they stood stand but tried to hide behind rocks and other possibilites wherever they were, Gandalf who was safe now dismounted his horse as the eagle landroval landed infront of him. He nodded with a thank and then mounted it before shouting out to the army."Fire!"He yelled out and as that was being said, the artilery who had been waiting on orders started shooting with its 50 balistas and 50 catapults against the enemy ontop of the black gate or the gate itself. The archers who was being covered suddenly broke of from time to time as they was hidden and relieased volley after volley against the enemy. Not long after they shot they got hidden again or covered by the rocks and shields. Gandalf that was now ontop of the eagle Landroval, looked around for a moment before they suddenly flyed off into the air were both could be safe from arrows or danger so far but he ordered the eagle to fly towards the wall were they would be closer. As they swopped down towards the enemy the eagle grapped some in its claws and dropped them easly down again against the posission were they landed and Gandalf jumped of so he would now stand ontop of the black gate, facing the evil face to face. The eagle quickly left from the destination and went helping the other eagles as he ordered him to do, as he was now surrounded by the enemy ontop of the walls he shouted out to them while he stood in defence stand."Face me and your doom will be near."(Just to inform you all that this is a challenge directly to Feaora, let us have this dual as planned shall we? )

Faeora had expected the eagles, and their rocks, and her shield she had projected over herself easily defended she and her mount. The dragons were fine, the rocks minorly bruised them, but the damage wasn't much. Faeora had been looking for gandalf when he dropped not far from her.
"You're a fool to challenge a witch on the back of a dragon.." She said grinning. She raised her staff and prepared for the worst. Many orcs rushed him, but Faeora waved her staff and they all fell back.
"Leave him be..it's our time to fight" She said and stood up on the dragons back, her staff glowing with what looked like human rage. "You'll not win this fight." She said and squinted at him, glaring. "I've heard you have an apprentice?..to bad she'll never see the side of power I know.." She said smiling as she gave a slight chuckle. "But then again..with you teaching her, what good knowledge could come to her? You only know cheap tricks, or so I've been told" She said taunting him, but she knew words wouldn't hurt Gandalf..but she was sure her dark magic would.

Eowyn quickly had raised her shield high as the enemy started to send arrows, oil that they later on would set on fire, and rocks towards them. Some arrows flew straight past her, near to hit her, but did not. The eagles had begun to fight now, help their troops against the enemy by throwing stones onto the Uruk troops and dragons that were behind the walls of Morannon. Gandalf had been picked up by Landroval to fight an evil witch by himself, so the troops were left for her and Faramir to lead for the moment. The warriors were, as Gandalf has ordered them, were shooting with catapults and balistas onto the black gate, or the troops on top. Large rocks were thrown against the walls, powerfull, while archers beside were shooting the Uruks on the wall, but at the same time hiding behind the rocks that the enemy had shot at them, so that they could not be harmed. Eowyn had jumped off her horse now, standing a little behind as she was no archer and as there was no time yet to sword fight. She had taken cover behind another rock, shouing encouragements to the archers and warriors as well as tending up to the few wounded soldiers, binding up wounds and limps so that they would not bleed to death, and covering their wounds.

Faramir who was close to Eowyn did not carry any shield so whenever arrows or stones came flying he had to dogde but was always close to get hit, the arrows and stones was many and people around suffered but still some were protected as they hidded or defended themself with shields. He had not yet dismounted his horse as his wife Eowyn took cover but he himself was busy with dogding the arrows who went by and went swift threw the lines with the horse he sat upon, as he arrived the lines behind he jumped of his horse and told some guards to take it as himself went to find Eowyn again that was healing and helping the wounded. He looked around with worried eyes as he was now seeking his love but couldnt find her cause troops and arrows was all over the place, some were hidding, some were shooting and some was getting ready the next lunch of artillery fire.

Khamul saw Gandalf land and smiled an invisible smile as Faeora began a duel with him, Khamul was certain she could take him herself and if not, he and Jí Indûr could easily destroy him. "Archers, concentrate on the Eagles, Trolls and Catapults, aim at the men in Testudo formation!" ((the tortoise formation)) Khamul saw three Eagles flying over Gondorian soldiers, carrying rocks in their talons. If they dropped the rocks, they would roll along, crushing anything in their way, Khamul put out his left hand and a ball of fire shot from it, quickly followed by two more, all three headed toward the three Eagles, each taking it's individual collision course. Khamul noticed a rock falling on Narchost and saw as it crashed into the roof, sending splinters flying, however as it fell it shattered into pieces, having been struck by the Morning Star of a Nazgul previously concealed within the tower amoung the archers. A number of orcs, uruks and men fell dead from the rocks that fell and the arrows that flew, but the battlements protected them from most of the arrows. Khamul looked to the sky, seeing Eagles carrying rocks to drop on the defenders of Mordor. "Time to take to the skies..." Khamul muttered, before screaming a terrible, bone chilling screech. His dragon beat it's wings and as Khamul climbed onto its back he let out another terrifying scream and the dragon took off. Khamul flew straight to the first Eagle he saw, his dragon throwing a stream of flames at it before crashing into it with its massive claws ripping at the Eagle's wings. At this height, even if he did not kill the Giant Eagle, if it fell it would not survive. Khamul leaned forwards and stabbed at the Eagle's neck with his sword as his dragon pushed hard on the Eagle, using it to push itself up out of the reach of the Gondorian arrows.

Well dang, so many birds and flying people. We can’t they just stay on the ground where they belong. They needed to fight like normal people. Ahh well. The boulder that had fallen on the tower had crushed most everything around Cristin. Had it not been for his durable armor, he would have been dead. There were still a few men firing and he looked out and saw the catapults beginning to fire the oil. He smirked at this. He wondered what the enemy would think when they saw jugs and kegs being thrown at them. They would probably figure it out eventually he presumed. Once the bulk of the oil had struck onto the shields of the square formation Cristin stood and waved to one of his generals in the opposite tower. This was going to be fun. Parents usually told their children not to play with fire. Cristin hadn’t really listened.
The archers lit their arrows with fire and then began to shoot down at the square formations and ground around them and within them, now mostly damp with oil. The fire caught and began to immediately burn on the soldier’s shields, the ground around them, in between them. Once an oil fire caught, it was bloody hard to put out. Cristin smirked as he saw the fires begin to rage. This no doubt was going to cause chaos within the ranks of all of the soldiers affected by it. Cristin’s plan was for them to break cover and then the arrows of his soldiers and of those around him would do the trick. Cristin watched as several catapults continued firing the jugs of oil, the rest now firing rocks, as they should. He turned to a captain. “ See if we can’t light the rocks on fire too. The more fire the more disorganized they are, and better chance we have.” He commanded and the uruk nodded and ran to rely the information.
Cristin now had a chance to look around at everything. What the? The wizard as on the gate? Well he was sure that his aggressor would be able to defeat him. Just in case though, he drew his bow back and fired expertly towards Gandalf. Then he looked up at all the blasted eagles flying around dropping rocks. He fired around. He was an elf and missing really wasn’t going to happen for him and put one down on the first shot as a volley of arrows from the rest of the troops followed. He saw Khamul going towards the eagle lord. He looked towards the Northeast and he saw a fell beast approaching with a rider on it. It was dodging arrows and it landed on the tower in front of Cristin. It was one of his messengers. “ Your reinforcements have met with resistance miles from here. They are engaged now. They will need your help my lord. Please, ride there and send aid them. I will command the soldiers here.” The messenger stated. “ You will, but you answer to Khamul, as will the rest of the soldiers here. Understand that. You will also answer that woman there!” He pointed at Faeora, “ Any nazgul you see and Neurion!” With that Cristin mounted the fell beast and began to fly to support his soldiers to the Northwest. The archers he had brought continued to shoot down at the soldiers coming them and fire should have been doing its work.
( I am going on a final vacation until Sunday and i don't know if i will have internet or not. So i thought it best to leave the battle. Khamul, feel free to control my men )

(OOC: Hmmm…. I think I might have missed that. It has been awhile since I have read the Silmarillion… My Wolf-hound is modified to speak ‘only’ in battles… if that is ok…? I‘m not very good at this whole battle thing. So I will be creative! lol)
Indilwen looked into the thick black smog, as the arrows came down upon the army. The dark army did not like light, and only attacked where darkness rolled. It weakened them. If they could find a way to lighten the battlefield, her people could stand a chance, in this battle.
She touched the white steeds side, looking for a higher land. She let the horse, guide it’s way through the warriors, the knights. Missing arrows, that came crashing down by inches. Finally coming to an area, where it was higher, she pulled out a strange peace of metal from her saddle bag. Then a silver glass, the shape of a teardrop and cried, “Aiya Eärendil Elenion Ancalima!”
A bright light burst into the darkness, and with the metal, she reflected it, into the eyes of any sky high creatures that threatened, the very lives of her people. After a few moments of this, she would enter the battle, and stand beside the people she had been asked to help protect.

Faeora turned to see a great light in the distance, but who was it? It couldn't be gandalf..but then she remembered about his apprentice. She cackled and taunted him again "She's a fool if she thinks that'll work gandalf..you haven't taught her anything new!?" She said and with a roar, her voice shook all of morannon, and a great darkness filtered out from her staff, eating away at the light. "Dûr Gurth Iâ!!" She screamed loudly, her words could be heard from incredible distances as the wind swept it like a feather across the skies. "Dûr Gurth Iâ Tumba!" She screamed again, and the darkness of her staff had protected all of her troops from the light, and gaveway to new fears for the opposing troops, and windlords.
She smiled and laughed again, grinning and chuckling at how feeble light was against darkness..of how quickly it would surrender to its counterpart. She screamed in the black speech, which was eerie enough alone, but put with her dreadful voice made it all the worse. "Durbat-izishu!" She shouted in a completely inhuman voice. It was much to low for a female, or even a male, it was as if a demon were speaking. A demon's harsh and terrible voice was the only thing that could've possibly made that sound..either that, or truly dark magic. Few knew the tongue of mordor, and how to understand it. "I rule you!" She said...And she thought she did...she thought her power would consume any who would dare try to oppose her, and right now, it looked like she was right.

Neurions Blood guard stood to in rank behind the gates, shields in one hand and swords in the other. Neurion stood in fron of his men the drake he had flown in on lay on the ground behind him ready to be mounted. "I am leaving now but will return soon. When you hear the horns of Dunland then find a way out of this gate to the awaiting army, even if this means opening the gates yourselves. Rally to my standard and slay all who block you." Neurions said before taking one Blood Guard with him. They both mounted the Drake and its spreads its wing lifting itself into the air. Waiting for the eagles to dissapear he headed north he had business to do.
Neurion didn't say goodbye to Khamul or Faeora as he did not have the time.

Indilwen heard the screech from the ‘wicked witch of the East’ she laughed, that was not even the strength of her powers, at their beginning. Noticing, that the witch of a woman protected her little workers. That was a pity, Indilwen’s little scheme could have given her people an advantage. However, it had not.
Indilwen shook her thoughts, trying to choose something that might work against the merging army, and corrupt their formations. She knew orcs and their fellow evil creatures, well most of them, could not swim. It had not been rendered into their makings, it had particularly been forgotten. She shuddered, hearing the voice of the wicked demoness. However, deep down Indilwen knew, that this battle would not end her terrible existence. If it did, they would be extremely lucky.
Indilwen let the light go, and handed it to a soldier, telling him the words to use. The boy must have snuck along, he was barely 17 winters. The light would protect him, in the shadow. She dismounted her steed, gently tapping him on the side so he would disappear. She would only call on the beast in great need. The wolfhound, at her side.
Indilwen reached for one of her arrows. They were beautiful things. Made of fine oak, beaded and had ribbons attached to them. Despite, that luxurious beauty crafted into them, a deadly secret hid in them. They contained the highest of poison, and if they were set loose correctly the poison could touch and kill any of the orcs, and lower creatures of that existence within moments of touching the skin.
Gently placing the arrow into the well crafted bow, and the whisper of a few words, which would help guide the arrow, deep into the enemy’s dark blanket, also assuring that none of her people would be touched by it’s poison. She aimed it, high in the sky, and after a few moments let it loose.
The arrow soared into the black sky, piercing dark cloud by dark cloud, “Heir Cú Galad” she cried into the sky. As the arrow hit it’s invisible target point, it broke through the sheild that protected the enemy that the evil witch had instored. It burst into light, similar to that of Mithrandir’s firecrackers, but so much brighter. The light lasted what seemed minutes, yet with each moment it lasted, sprinkles of poision touched into a small group of enemy orcs.
The light also restoring some hope for the men on the ground. Indilwen took a deep breath. She swung, that gorgeous bow about herself, so it sat respectfully and gave her free movement. She withdrew her two long swords, magnificent and bright things they were, both encrusted with elvish phrases. It as now her turn to enter the battle.

Gandalf stood at the Black Gate as Faeora suddenly appeared in front of him, taking up the challenge he was making for them. The orcs was about to attack as the witch told them to back off, he smiled but held his staff close as he listened to her words. "I have an apprentice yes but she is not a fool, neither am I as you soon will discover."The wizard shouted out to her were she sat upon the beast and wondered what was going to happen next, up into the sky the eagles were being shot at by the enemy archers who was on the ground but also the men outside the wall was being shot at with everything possible.
They took heavily hit as it kept on like a storm, arrows, rocks and oil jugs with fire all over the place. Three of the eagles that was carrying huge heavy rocks suddenly got shot by Khamul 3 fireballs, they dropped their cargo at the nearest enemy as soon it approached and then quickly dodged from it but one eagle got hit and in full haste it fell toward Carchost Tower to cause the last damage before dying. At this time the second tower was about to fall into pieces cause of the huge stone that had hit its roof, splinters was flying all over the place and caused chaos but also damage.
Not long after Gandalf could see Khamul mounted his dragon and attacked the nearest eagle, the eagle did not have any chance and so also fell dead but screamed one last time before it fell dead and straight toward the enemy below together with the rocks the rest of the eagles was throwing. As he stood there watching he could feel something was approaching, he turned and saw it was arrows shoot from Cristin who had shot at him and the eagles before leaving his men under Khamul`s command, quick and swift gandalf waved around his staff and sword until the arrow came closer and the sword slashed it in pieces. The eagles who took fire from Cristin was quickly trying to dodge but another eagle were to late and so fell dead right upon the enemy artillery that was shooting oil with fire. But as that was done, a bright light from the camp was lighted by Indilwen his apprentice and so could see the enemy got blinded by it while it took fire from the Reunited Kingdom artillery and archers. Mithrandir turned around to look at Faeora as she spoke and then dark magic came out of her staff, covering the enemy with blackness so light was no more though Indilwen did not gave up and shot again but this time an arrow that caused light and poison to the enemy.
As Indilwen kept Faeora busy, Gandalf was preparing an attack as well. He raised his staff and it glowed in a blue light then he spoke some magical words before letting the trick loose."Dark magic do not know the real power of magic as the valar have given! YOU SHALL NOT PREVAIL!" When that was said he quick and hard stroke his staff into the top ground of the black gate and made it all crack and shake, a blue light came out from under his staff and then it all started to crumble....orcs and evil minions on top would have difficult to stand as Gandalf now as well had. The wall would fall within minutes cause of his powerful magic, the same magic he had used to destroy the bridge of Khazad-Dum when fighting the Balrog. He then called on the eagle Landrovel to pick him up so he would be safe from the unsteady wall, the eagle came and he jumped on then faced the witch called Faeora.
The evil had still not done anything against the three eagles that was making a fall on the side of the mountain and so that plan would soon work out and so it did, not long after Gandalf had mounted the eagle landroval, a huge fall of rocks and sand was rolling down the hill of the mountain side..towards the enemy below inside the gates and could cause heavily damage against them if it hit. The two other surviving eagles that was flying high into the sky, dodging the arrows who was shot by the archers tried now to stay safe instead of throwing rocks at the enemy since they would soon meet their doom by unsteady walls and stone. The other three eagles who had caused the fall of rock and sand did now also fly high together with the rest, out of the archer reach.
The army outside the gate was in real chaos as the arrows, rocks and oil with fire arrived on top of them and many got killed by it except those that were in the camp out of reach and the riders. Right and Left flank was utterly destroyed cause they had stayed close to the enemy from the beginning and the people on the slag hills was also having problems but tried to hide and help the wounded together with the safe camp behind. Those who still could, was shooting, specially the elven archers that had stronger bows then anyone else in the world of Middle Earth could fire easily from the safe camp they was standing on and could hit the enemy on a long range target. The artillery was also still firing at the enemy but since most of them got hit by arrows or flames they had problems with getting it work, the most damaged areas was left and right flank + the slag hills while the rest was out of reach for the enemy.

Khamul watched as Gandalf cracked the Gate, he screeched, thrusting fear into the hearts of all his enemies and the dragon sped downwards, towards the Gate. "Get off the Gate and stand behind the infantry!" Khamul called to the archers and trolls on the Gate before he fell from the dragon, landing on the Gate. Khamul pulled an arrow from the heart of a dead orc and lit it on the line of fire. Khamul placed it, flight-first, in a pot of oil and put the oil in a catapult. He waited, watching an Eagle carefully, waiting until the perfect moment... Khamul sliced a rope with his sword and the catapult fired its bomb at the Eagle, he had timed it perfectly - the pot was heading straight for the Eagle and even if it missed, the flame from the burning arrow would reach the oil just as it passed the Eagle, exploding and probably killing it. Khamul looked around, seeing Gandalf, now on Landroval and Faeora still duelling whilst men, orcs and uruk-hai alike all fled from the crumbling Gate. Khamul looked up to see his dragon smash into another Eagle, throwing fireballs at it and clawing at it in an attempt to snuff the life from the Eagle. As Khamul saw the rockslide coming down the mountain he screeched to his dragon, which obeyed him instantly. The dragon flew to the mountain and stood firmly at the bottom with several trolls. The rocks smashed into the dragon, but his thick hide protected him from most harm, a few trolls fell dead as some of the largest rocks hit them but they mostly stood firm, stopping the rocks before they could do much damage. When the rocks ceased falling, the trolls went back to join the rest of the army whilst the dragon flew up, out of the reach of arrows and started to attack another Eagle. Khamul walked off the Gate, reaching the end of the steps and climbing onto his horse. His horse walked slowly to just behind the third line of spearmen, where his presence would spread terror in the hearts of enemies.
