Mordor, the ruined lands of the east. As the sun rose upon the fields of dagorlad outside the northern lands of Mordor with the dark clouds shadowing the south, a deep sound of horns could be heard threw out the valley. It was the Reunited Kingdom that was on the march towards the black gates who once again seemed to have been restored by the powers of evil. 20 000 troops they were and all well trained for their specialities. Guard them with warriors infront and behind, use your elven warriors to do so. Place the Gondorian heavy infantry infront of the slag hills but keep the Gondorian light infantry on left and right flank. The 3000 heavy riders on the right flank and the other 2000 on the left flank, do this and you soon will have your victory."He said seriously but as that was said he rode of towards the black gates who had been rebuilt and watched it, wondering if the evil had noticed them but instead of letting them wait he shouted out."Minions of evil come forth and justice shall be set upon you."As he stood their waiting for respond the troops were getting in possision were they was ordered to stay. Those that were set to defend infront of the Slag Hills was 2000 strong armed human infantry. The light armed human infantry on right and left contained 1000 on each side but those who was ontop the slag hills contained 4000 archers mixed light and strong armed with 1000 light armed elven warriors surrending them to defend against any treat that may appare(as the romans did). 500 artillery as siege weapons was splitted in two groups behind the slag hills but hidden by the rocks though was able to shoot any enemy or wall that was in target. Futher behind the slag hills ontop of the hollows at the destolation a camp was made by the base defenders that contained 500 light armed ithilien warriors and 500 light armed ithilien archers who had taken along wood to build camp with, they started making a camp immediately they arrived who was easy set up cause some were already finished made. It also had 2000 elven archers that was light and strong armed but defended by 1000 strong elven warriors who they splitted up in 3 line groups. A tower was built in the middle of the camp as fence and pikes were placed all around to keep enemies from intruding. Riders was placed on left and right flank of the army, those on the left was 2000 light cavalry and those on the right 3000 heavy cavalry. Reserves was being kept at the left side of the army behind the light cavalry, the reserves contained all 500 Drúedain warriors and 500 strong armed ithilien all used. A beacon was also built in the camp who would be lit on if needed, beacons was at this time built all over the Reunited Kingdom in case of danger. If the beacon was light great forces would come at aid but would it be enough? 37 000 was in sourthern Ithilien waiting at the new built walls that would defend against any treat from Haradwaith if they came to aid, the walls was bigger then a Mumak and the walls was built with a layer of Mithril that was given by the dwarves as the Reunited Kingdom got together though the new dwarves were not that giftful. They now waited for the evil to respond and maybe open the gates of Mordor.

Faramir who rode with the troops of the Reunited Kingdom, stood in lead together with his own wife Eowyn and the two wizards that seemed sure to win the battle who was to come. When Mithrandir spoke to him about what to do, he nodded and then looked at Eowyn for a moment before slightly smiling and rode of to tell the army to get in posission. When that was done they went to stand ground as the white wizard rode forth to speak with the dark lord of the ruined lands of Mordor, this would be dangers he though but hoped for the best. Numbers were not everything in battles and wars but the tactics of what was used was also important for the victory to come. As he stood along with some of the generals of the army talking he turned looking for his wife and called her over cause he wanted her with him when the battle would start, she was quite important to him and she would be helpful for this war.

Eowyn had been riding with the warriors, soldiers and rangers to the Black Gate of Mordor, and she studied the battle formation Mithrandir has chosen for this battle, and as Faramir set the troops in order. She looked up at the cold walls, long years ago she wished to fight at this place, together with Aragorn and other heroes, and she had wished to die. This day it was different, she wanted to win, wanted the evil banned from those lands, and Middle Earth back to peace. When Faramir gestured her to come over to him, she rode to his side as they were waiting for the dark lord of Mordor to answer. "Are you nervous?" she asked him. "Do you think we can win this fight?"

OOC: Carchost and Narchost are the other way around; Carchost on the East (left when facing the Gate) and Narchost on the West (right when facing the gate). Current Total Army Count: 20,500 [+ Faeora's Troops = 21,000] (Without counting commanders) Carchost Guard: 70 (20 Heavy Infantry, 50 Archers) Narchost Guard: 70 (20 Heavy Infantry, 50 Archers) Morannon Orc Archers: 200 Morannon Uruk-Hai Archers: 200 Morannon Troll Rock Throwers: 50 Morannon Catapults: 20 (Four Uruk-Hai crewmen and one Troll each = 100) Cristin's Longbowmen: 2,000 Faeora's Archers: 5,500 Cristin's Spearmen: 1,000 Faeora's Heavy Infantry: 2,000 Uruk-Hai Heavy Infantry: 260 Armoured Troll Warriors: 150 Faeora's Infantry: 5,000 Uruk-Hai Infantry: 500 Mordor Beserkers: 200 Uruk-Hai Warg Riders: 200 Cristin's Swordsmen (Reserve): 1,000 Faeora's Warg Riders (Reserve): 2,000 +Faeora's Troops: 500 Khamul stood upon the centre of the Morannon, looking out over the army of Gondor. The Towers of the Teeth contained twenty Uruk-Hai Heavy Infantry and fifty Uruk-Hai Archers along with one Nazgul in each tower. Two hundred Uruk-Hai Archers and two hundred Orc Archers stood on the Black Gate, behind the battlements, backed by two thousand of Cristin's longbowmen and fifty trolls stood with piles of rocks ready to throw. Twenty fully armed and fully crewed Mordor Catapults, the first few shots were made of almost molten rock from the Mountain of Fire itself. Five thousand five hundred of Faeora's troops stood on the wall, armed with bows. One thousand of Cristin's spearmen stood directly behind the Gate. Two hundred and sixty Uruk-Hai Heavy Infantry and two thousand of Faeora's Heavy Infantry stood behind them with one hundred and fifty Armoured Trolls, which were armed with swords or axes and rocks to throw if needed. Five hundred more Uruk-Hai stood behind, armed with swords and mixed with them were some of the most powerful tools Mordor had to use, the two hundred Beserkers. With them stood five thousand of Faeora's Infantry. To each side were one hundred Uruk-Hai riding Wargs. As a reserve Khamul had placed Cristin's one thousand swordsmen a few hundred metres behind the main line with the 2,000 of Faeora's Warg Riders. Every Orc and Uruk-Hai under Khamul's command had been given at least minimal training in archery and artillery crewing. Khamul let out a terrible screech and spoke, amplifying his voice with magic, "Men of Gondor, you have fought valiantly in times past, but all in vain. I believe you have not forgotten the War you fought fairly recently, the War against Sauron the Great, Sauron the Masterful, the Lord of the Rings. Your uncles, fathers, brothers, friends and even your sons died in that War but they died for nothing. The Dark Lord lives and he has eight bodies, not just one and now you stand no chance against me! The courage of Gondor leads you to fight when there is no hope, but courage is just another name for foolishness, it cannot stop an arrow in mid-flight. Courage cannot halt a sword as it swings at your neck. Courage cannot kill one of my Uruk-Hai as it slices you into pieces! Courage cannot destroy this Gate! Nothing can!" Khamul ended the spell and called to the Orcs, Uruk-Hai, Trolls and Men on the Gate, "Communications with the enemy have ceased; Prepare to fire!"

‘If he believes courage can not storm those gates. Then evil has indeed corrupt his sole. For it is not the courage, that makes these men strong, it is a battle for survival. Survival will always made one fight stronger,’ Indilwen thought to herself.
She watched the men forming in designated places. Her steed pranced on the spot, and grinded his teeth. Her white companion the Wolfhound of the Elves wagged his tail eagerly to sink those bright white teeth into the fowl flesh of orcs, and any other fowl creature that came from the gates of Mordor.
Indilwen, took a moment, to relax, and calm her thoughts, and open them to anything else that might conjure or interrupt her. She could sense the Nazgul, powerful indeed. Yet still, perhaps he had not heard, that there was now a female wizard on the grounds, and she was ready to take him on if he dared come near her.
The Wolfhound looked to her, as his ears flicked towards the gates, “The enemy is prepared to fire. Brace yourself!”
Indilwen nodded to her trusty companion. His hearing was magnificent. She looked to Mithrandir, “So, here the test begins.”
(In the Silmarillion I am quite sure the Wolfhound’s could talk. That is, if my memory does not betray me.)

This sort of thing was what beckoned Cristin arrival. He and his bodyguard had been let in through Minas Morgul. His expert advice and skill in battle would be most helpful in this sort of situation. He stood on the Eastern tower, looking at the Ithilien swordsmen, his smirk was large. Lots had come to die. Four thousand of his men stood in defense of Mordor, two thousand more had been sent from home days ago. ( Which was actually posted ) Cristin looked at his spear and swordsmen. They were dark elves, mutated humans, not orcs, smarter than orcs. Cristin hated orcs, but this day found himself fighting along side their kin. Cristin's longbowman were one the black gate, they weren't needed there though.
Cristin turned to the nearest Uruk commander. " Send for a thousand of my archers to break off and have five hundred to the West and five hundred sent to this tower. If you see them trying to climb this towers, send the spears, we can use them to take down ladders and skewer climbers." The uruk acknowledged Cristin's rank and ran to fulfill the orders. Oh this would be great fun. With a flash of blue, Cristin's sword turned to a bow, magic that he alone had within him from what he was sure was a dark past.

"You are ready..my queen" The dark, cold, and bitter voice said softly. Faeora closed her eyes, mustering one last deep breath. She had armor that had been crafted for quick movement, but could stand strong physical, but most importantly magical blows. It seemed to radiate with a silver light. Her fellbeast was also armoured, making it look almost like a dragon, but its more slender appearance gave it away. Faeora held a staff that she had not used much. It was obviously a special one. It had a body of blue, but red, flamelike markings had bee made up the body of the staff, in a spiraling motion.
"Thank you" She said nodding to her servant. She was then handed a bow, with a quiver that held hundreds of arrows. She couldn't have carried it herself, but luckily it fit perfectly into a strap on the fellbeasts back. She couldn't bare to let her staff go, but she would need to, for firing the bow. She winced as if she had ripped part of her soul from her, placing it in the strap's security, where it could not be harmed. She gave a long drawn out sigh, and entered the outdoors. A bit of screaming and shouting could be heard, and its volume only increased as she completely left the hold inside.
Army:500 Dragon captain(wings)-1 Dragon guard(land)-4 Troll beserkers-100 Warg captains (shield/warg/weapon)-200 Warg riders (archers)195
Faeora was behind the ranks that were waiting the black gate to open. She would fly out when the time came, but would wait for the archers to have fired already. Her Dragons were beside her, and she had the captain waiting in the hold. He would come out only upon her order, or emergency. She had the troll beserkers positioned in front of the ranks of infantry behind the black gate, hoping they would be like a wall, and do quite a bit of damage. Her warg captains were spread out between carchost and narchost. Her warg archers were on the gate, prepared to fire, but would make their way down through the two towers after the ground archers had fired. Faeora smiled and smelled the air. "It's finally here.." She said, and then gave a loud scream that roared through the air like an incredible gale, reaching every ear within the lands. She then took a gaze at the army, and prepared her bow, which would be succeeded by her staff, which, if need be, would be succeeded by two twin swords.

(Actually I think a wolfhound can only speak three times before it dies, atleast with the wolfhound in silmarillion, anyway sure Khamul may change his post about his army. To make this battle go easly and good we post in order as agreed with some of you, this is the posting order we will follow: Gandalf Faramir Eowyn Indilwen Khamul Cristin Faeora Radagast army will leave quickly again so its no need to include him and Neurion will use some time before arriving.)
Mithrandir stood looking up at the walls as Khamul the new lord of the nazguls was speaking to him with all his cruelty and malice but ontop of the walls, evil could be seen who was gathering for battle. As Indilwen his apprentice spoke to him he nodded and answered in return." Indeed so it does, go behind the lines and be ready to engage." With that being said another horde of troops of the north could be seen approuching, he turned looking at them and saw it was the men from Brownland who had come to aid in the battle. As the captain of those troops were seeking him, he went over and spoke quickly."I see the army of Brownland have come to aid us but I believe Radagast himself dont want to fight and he is bringing me in charge of his men, am I right? If so I want them to be sent to the north at the borders who can watch those lands incase any other enemy troops will appear and that may give us a warning but also give them some resistence before showing up."Mithrandir the white wizard was quite stressed in this battle cause alot had to be done and alot had to be ready for battle, he just hoped they would last. Suddenly up in the sky 8 eagles with an eagle lord could be seen and they kept flying above the army, waiting on the instroctions from their friend Gandalf. He looked up and smiled as they had arrived, they would be at great help in this battle against the fellbeasts.
The Gondorian riders was set at loose formation so they would not be a such good target for the enemy arrows and so could also do alot more damage against any enemy they met, the troops infront of the slag hills was set as tight formation with shields on the sides and above their heads(as the romans) who could resist any arrow that came. Left and right flank troops was also set as tight formation with shields covering them but the army ontop of the hollows in the destolation was all pulled in loose formation though with guards infront carrying shields to protect themself and the archers behind with it. The camp was also soon finished set as the base defenders was working, the beacon who had been built was finished.

(Speaking on the behalf of Gandalf, Neurion comes into the post order when he arrives though it will take a long time before he can do so. Either he have to take the road threw Khand or threw the southern Ithilien who a wall is newly built, strong and higher then a mumakil...guarded by 29 000 men. You can read it in the first post if you didnt see it. If more questions send a pm, dont want to ruin the thread with occ.)
Faramir was speaking with Eowyn as the others did their part, he looked at her and nodded slightly but a feeling was building inside him that this war would be bloody and dirty."I am a bit nervous yes but arent we all, atleast I believe we can win aslong we have the white wizard among us."He said with a little smile as he held her hands in his, watching her deep into the eyes wondering how she felt about this. As he could hear the enemy prepare for battle he though it was time for them to do so aswell, he turned to one of the guards and told him to tell the archers to get ready. The guard went off and told the archers to do ready for aim and to light them with fire, the artillery of catapults and balistas was being prepared to shoot aswell when given orders though was well hidden and protected by the rocks. Faramir watched as he saw the army of brownland had showed up and was given to the white wizard command but not long after they had come they went north again to protect the borders there and resist any attack that may appare.

Eowyn nodded to Faramir`s words. "Indeed, I believe in war everyone is nervous, save heartless people who don`t have to fear to lose anything anymore." she said bitterly. She watched the armies of Brownland arrive, happy to know that they would have more strength now, and she was even more releaved when she looked up into the sky and saw the eagles arrive as well. They had strong and good forces on their side, two wizards, well trained soldiers, and the eagles, with a bit of luck they would win at least this battle. She wondered what the enemy was preparing to destroy their troops, what they were planning, what evil forces they would use, or what battle might or allies would appear, fighting them.

A dark and peirecing screech echoed through the mid day air as Neurion arrived on his Drake. Out of the smog he appeared, he flel low over the gathering enemy troops but not low enough to be in range of their arrows. The drake spread its wings pulling out of its dive, it slowed down as it headed towards the battlements of the black gate. Neurion was dressed in black armour with red trim. In the middle of his breastplate a silver wolf head was etched in, the symbol of Dunland. His cloak cracked in the wind as he sped towards the battlements, over the battlements he went a found an area just beyond the gate with enought space for him to land.
Neurion climbed off the drake and took off his helm, he began walking to the closest orc when he was intercepted by one of the Blood Guard which had come with Faeora. The man hit his fist agains't his chest. "Welcome Neurion" The man said in a gruff voice. Upon hearing his voice Neurion recognised the man as the captain of his Blood Guard and leant forward to embrace him. "Looks like Gondorians have come here to feed our blades" Neurion said with a laugh. "Where are Faeora and Khamul?" Neurion asked not wanting to dwell on small talk. The captain pointed to the top of the black gate and Neurion saw the figure of Khamul standing in the centre.
As Neurion reached the battlements he made his way to Khamul and along the way noticed that the men he had leant Faeroa were now armed with bows. Neurion shook his head, although his men were decent archers that was not what he had trained them for. Further along he noticed his one thousand Blood Guard stood with swords in hands, bows were snapped at their feet Neurion couldn't help but smile with pride. When the blood guard saw Neurion they snapped to attention. "Gather the rest of the blood guard and organise yourself behind the black gate. Leave the other Dunlanders here they can slow the enemy with arrows for the time being." Neurion said before walking onwards towards Khamul. Upon reaching Khamul Neurion reached up and removed his helm, letting the cool wind blow his hair back. "30'000 more men are on there way from Harad." Neurion said. "WHat are your plans for now?"

OOC: No more order... Just post when you want, but don't keep posting attacks before people can defend!
BIC: "The plan is to let them attack, keeping the Gate shut." Khamul replied. "I'm not going to open the Gate until the perfect momet, or the moment at which it is absolutely necessary. They cannot destroy the Gate, it is protected by powerful magic." Khamul drew his sword and spoke, his voice carrying across the wall, "Fire." Thousands of archers lowered their first arrows into a line of rope, which had burst into flame before them, their arrows caught and they raised their bows, aiming into the mass of Gondorian soldiers, catapults were loaded and trolls lifted rocks. Then an Orc General yelled and thousands of burning arrows shot into the sky, followed by fifty large rocks and twenty burning rocks. Before the arrows landed the bows that fired them had released another arrow or two and a number more rocks had been thrown and more burning rocks were about to be fired. A second wave of rocks was released into the constant rain of arrows.

Faeora gave a battle scream and saw neurion. She had new and renowned hope now. She felt as if they wouldn't lose no matter what..She then snapped back into reality and yelled orders
"Dragons!" She screamed and then smiled "Stand over the troops waiting behind the gate. That way the arrows cannot hit them. They'll not be harmed, and neither will you" She said and the dragons nodded, and went over to the troops. They connected and became like one giant shield over them, their captain, however, did not join them, he stood beside faeora. She nodded to her fellbeast and it obviously understood as it lowered its head. She walked over to the dragon and slowly mounted it, realizing that he would be a much better mount, though she loved her fell beast like her pet. "I'll expect you to destroy those damn eagles.." she said to the beast, and it nodded, and seemed a bit happier knowing it was still needed. She transported her weapons to the dragon and smiled. The dragon gave a groan of impatience as if it were in touch with hers, but she shook her head "Just wait...the time will be upon us soon" She said quietly, itching to fight.
