WAR!!

a Dwarf came over a smalhilltop, Lifting his bow.. he shot an arrow wich landed right beside an gobelin. the message was... "you are now at war, for all you have done to us dvarves we shal destroy your evil rule

"Foolish dwarf how dare they think they can fight us in our own land. You may know you way through mountains, but with your heavy armor my men can pick you off before they even make it to the top" Gorthog screamed as he was with the Goblin. He turned to him "Prepare for war, fortify the towns, how long has it been since our trolls tasted dwarf meat?"

1,000 Mirkwoodian cavalry thundered over the hill and stood in a wedge formation facing the enemy. 2,500 Elven warriors filed in behind them. Behind them 400 Longbowmen filed in. 10 Ballistae took up the rear and readied to fire. Thraden sat atop his horse in front of his army and raised his staff into the air

Gorthog looked down at the elven warriors. "CAVALRY? How stupid can they get." Calvary on mountains hmm stupid. "All right to higher grounds unless they could shoot thousands of feet high they are not a problem"

400 archers and 500 orc warriors appeared out of no where. They posiotioned themselves on the mountain. The archers where placed on higher ground giving them an advantage over the archers. In between the archers and around them the orc warriors carried strong shields. Strong enough so that the long bow men would prove useless. But not the ballistas. Above them where the 10 trolls carrying rocks, and hidden where the wargs. (so as hidden i dont know you dont know

*The ballistas began the fight by opening fire on the trolls. The longbowmen, with no other targets, also opened fore on the 10 trolls creating damage among them. The cavalry split into two ranks, one riding east and the other west, where they hid behind large hills and were unseen by the goblins and orcs on the mountains.*

A horn shuted in the east, an huge army was coming, the whole dwarven kingdom was emtied of troops, even in night the army was showed the way by an musterios light in the front..
as the dwarven army came nearer the moutian all culd see that the light was coming from a large dwarf in the front, he held a black hammer wich shined like a sun, it was hurin, wielding his hammer Oiotar.
the dwarven army consist at 2300 heavy armored veterans,
500 axetrowers
1000 greens, hewy armored, but not so skilled
100 captains in mithril armor
400 sappers, makers of war engines, count as veterans when egaged in combat

the sappers was buisy setting parts together, they where making catapults, hurin, together with the 23oo veterans marced forevards and joiened the elf spearline, Hurin turend towards the king: "Thraden" he said," your armies are mighty, your elfs are skilled, but now you are away from your homly wood, you are on the gobelins domain, the dwarfs are more skilled at this kind of combat, first, we got to make a fiering line, we must force the gobbelins to come to us, pull your horses back, they will fall in ambush, im sure, we make a line and let the artillery shoot the orcs down from the moutian, leave them two choises, either run and hide in the caves, or a full scale atack. to leap on them now is a shure way to suffer defeat!" hurin ordered the newly built catapults 10 of them, to position behind the balistas, "fire at the gobelin archers he shouted, and at his orders 10 rocks where flung to the air with dwarven skill....

(dude the trolls are like on the top of the mountain but oh well)

1 troll fell from the group of 10. the rest took higher grounds. The goblin archers then let loose hell on the elves arming the ballista. They readied a second volley and fired.


Gorthog moved to higher ground with the orcs and his elite appeared with already made catapults. The trolls started to get large boulders and putting them on them. there where 10 catapults but only 9 trolls. 9 boulders flew from the mountain passing the orc troops, launching them to the ballistas (i have gravity on my side btw, you have it kinda against you). Gorthog sheathed his sword. It was one his ancestors passed down. It gave the user the magic powers. The trolls and the elite still man the catapults.

ooc: have i got the situation right? we are standing on the feet of a moutian, the gobelins are rallied on higher ground, and the arcers are whithin bowrage. the dwarven / elf army has set up an defencive line with walls and trenches, behind the walls there is balistas and catapults firering at the archers. and by the way, you forgot to take casioalties from my catapult fire!!

seeinig the impact the catapults had on the gobelin archers hurin shouted "reload" He ordered a smal group forewards 500 dwarf warriors, a captain in each 100. he waited to the next wolley of catapult fire was fiering before hurin and his smal army runned to the nearest crack, and hid from the archers line of sight. the sappers where busy setting up wooden walls with iron spikes on them, they where boulding trenches in front of the wall. anyone who charged at speed wold be slain by the iron spikes,

(oh ok. Yeah you kinda got it right. How many catapults do you have? The archers are in bow range of the elves not yours. They shoot farther and they have defense. The arrows are fire so yeah.... they will burn you. )

The archers scattared as the catapults came. Each catapult took a toll of 5 archers. 3 hit the rest missed. (they scattared)
At the up coming dwarves the archers let loose a volley of fire arrows. Then another.

Another volley of catapults launched at the siege weapons but this time at the dwarves. There was a suprise though. The stones went on fire. The dwarven catapults would me pounds of flaming rock.

(First of all, can this mountain be scaled And also, how can you set rock on fire?)

*The rocks came down on the trebuchets destroying two. The trebuchets then retreated back farther but could still reach the orcs on the mountain. The 8 of them then fired onthe orcs. The longbowmen fired on the orcs shielding the archers*

The Gobelin archers shot after hurin and his smal army, but the shooting was innefective, beacause hurin and his men was hiding away from the archers line of sight, (i said so)

ooc when firering fiered amunition, you fier a lighter stone with burable materials strapped on it. the shooting becomes more innacuate. but does more damage...
and traden. i controll my own sige equpment from now on.

the catapults realeasted another wiolley of 8 stones on the archers buysy shooting after hurin and co.

the impact of the flaming rocks where not so much, the most of them flew to short, but two landed in the mist of the dwarven sige crew, one of the fierstones killed two sappers, and the other damaged a catapult...

(it can be scaled but it will be hard. Specially for horses, siege weapons, and elves not as much for dwarves though.)

The orcs raised there shield in defense against the long bow men. Then the catapults hit. A good wooping of 30 archers fell. A messanger ran towards gorthog. He whispered into his ear something. He nodded. The orc gave the command to retreat higher up near the caves. As the goblins and orc went up they retreated firing arrows down at any open target. The catapults continued firing but this time on Hurin and his company.

"why dont they run into the caves?" wondred hurin. he had faught gobelins all his life, and he had found out that they where wery predicable... when outnubered they always runned down to the caves, and sat up an ambush. "we are not figtning some stupid tribe leader here. theese gobelins think tacticaly, look at how they are using their catapults, no.. the leader here is a smart one..

boom! one of the catapult rocks rolled down into the trench where the dwarves where hiding... crushing 5 dwarves...

Hurin gave an order, and the dwarves leaped out of the trench, they spread out, into loose formation and the 495 dwarves shouted as one " "Baruk Khazad! Khazad ai-menu!" (Axes of the Dwarves! The Dwarves are upon you!) and the dwarfs stormed aginst the gobelin arcers, with hurin in the front with the hammer Oliotar held hight over his head, lightig the way for the dwarven warriors...

By now all but a few group of archers had made it to the trolls. There was 50 archers still retreating up. He looked up at Gorthog and nodded his head. Gorthog shooks it but all the archers shouted to him that they could be sacrficed. They started firing apon the dwarves. "NOW " He screamed. All the men and trolls started pushing down the boulders for the catapults down the mountain. They rolled crushing through the Dwarves and GOblin archers who where fighting each other. They rolled another 10 boulders down.

"Its enough those archers sacrificed themselves for us. Into the cave" He said. As they retreated back into the caves 105 archers had lost there lives, 1 trolls and thats it. 295 archers where left. (just naming the casualties.)

THe tunnel went upwards. As they went up into the tunnel there where boulders. Once the first dwarves would enter the trolls would push 2 boulders down the tunnel. Hopefully slaying a hand full and shuting the tunnel temporarily. 3 trolls stayed to do the job. Gorthog stayed with them, he waited to speak terms with there king.
