Arwen smiled at them. Once her children had only been so small, she could hold them in her arms. Now they had grown, into quite blissful and successful children. She was proud of them. She turned to Erana, as Eldarion ran after Arawyn.
It appeared, her daughter, had not taken well to the idea of Elphir going off again. It would be hard on her, not everything was like a folk tale these days, and a lot of time it meant sacrifice. Arwen smiled at Erana, and gestured to some chairs, “Perhaps, we should sit down. I do not like the idea of standing on my feet for two long, especially after travelling. I would no sooner, deprive my guests, let alone family the delight of taking a seat, after a weary travel.”
He truth was her back was killing. Children always had that habit, of making their mothers uncomfortable, even after they had left the womb. Arawyn had, had that touch quite well. Yet, the streak seemed to be growing out of her. Maturity always did that, Arwen supposed. She moved over to a chair, and sat down. Spreading her gown out, so no creases existed on the smooth fabric of her gown.

"Oh, right, that is a good idea." Erana said, smiling back at Arwen, then taking her seat. She was grateful for sitting, the journey indeed has been very tireing, and she believed she soon would need some rest as well. But it seemed to her that something was distressing Arwen, probably it was that Arawyn seemed worried about her future husband, who had left to discuss matters with the dwarves together with King Elessar. But maybe it was something else. Erana did not know them well enough yet to be able to tell. Although, Erana wished to know them better, they were part of the family now. Her own family had grown quite small lately, only including herself and her brother Elfhelm now as her daughter was lost, and her parents were no more.

Arwen smiled gently at Erana, “My son is happy,” she looked gently over to Erana, “I thankyou greatly for his safe return.”
She was silent for a little, sitting tall and proud, like any profound Queen would, even in the company of her family, she was still quit formal. It had been placed in the elves, they had always presented themselves well, even to there families. She noticed, the weariness, “If you are weary, Daughter,” Arwen said with a concerned look, “You shall let me know, of course? If you are so, I will arrange for a place where you might find a place to rest, and a fresh change of clothes, if you wish it. You are part of our family now. What is ours, is now yours.”
In her heart, Arwen knew she had to prepare her son for the duty of King. The ruler of Minas Tirith, and he would need a queen at his side. So far, Erana had shown that there was politeness in her, and she was of a strong line of men. The Rohirrim, were always strong, and great horsemen at that. She hoped, that Erana would not break her sons heart, it would be terrible for him to go through it again. Arwen, herself had been fortunate enough not to really go through that.
She wondered how, Eldarion might take up the Throne, with disdain? Joy? Or as a duty? However, she would be there if her son needed it. Arwen felt a weary surge seep over her. The morning’s were not always welcome to her, these days. They were quite intolerable. Yet, bearing enough children, she had grown accustomed to it, even though each time was different in it’s own way. Soon, she would retire herself from the company of her family, and retreat to her private chambers.

"Oh, well, I did the best I could for him." Erana answered smiling, she was happy to be accepted in this royal family so warmly. She knew that if her relationship with Eldarion would last, and she hoped it would, she would do anything to prevent being parted from him as she loved him more than anything, that a great responsibility was lying on her as well. One day, Eldarion would take over the throne in Minas Tirith, and he would need the best wife and queen at his side. She hoped she would not fail in this task. When the queen Arwen spoke on, Erana listened and felt even more grateful, feeling already as part of the family, although hers and Eldarion`s marriage was only in planning. "Thank you, Arwen. Indeed, I feel a little weary, but I believe I will accompany you here until Eldarion returns before I take a rest. That is if you wish, of course." she spoke. Her words might still seem too polite from family member to family member, but Erana had to get used to see the high royal family, as she has seen this family until now while she was a small Rohan girl, to see them as normal persons as well. She had to learn this first, though she believed it would not be too difficult, as they were treating her as equal.

"I understand sister but you have to be strong as our mother have been all those days dad has gone for war or buisniss, there is a huge charge being a lord of the Reunited Kingdom. Many need ones attention and there are always something to do who makes it difficult for men to stay home and relax with their loved once, do not worry sister..Elphir will be back before you know it. Right now you should be more happier as I am home in good health and everything pluss we have a dobble wedding to plan for the future."He said cheering her up and tried to make her stay with them cause he did not want her to leave so soon, there was so much to catch up after the time he had been gone and he wanted to know everything who had happend.

Arwen nodded to Erana, “You may accompany me as long as you wish. It is always delightful to have company. Especially, if it is not those telling you the errands that must be run about.”
Arwen took a deep breath. Just relaxing her body, from the under-whelming feeling of nausea. It was controlled, however, “I have only been to Rohan twice,” Arwen smiled, eager to start a conversation going. It was true, she had never been fortunate enough to stay in Rohan a time, except on two special occasions. However, she had found it a place, where freedom lurked through the open fields. Just the atmosphere could make one relax.
“If I am not being too intrusive, may I ask, whether you have been fortunate to stay in The White City, before now?” She asked, turned her blue eyes to Erana. Still placed on her face, was a warm and friendly smile.

Erana laughed at her words. "Indeed, I believe so. I have no experience with servants or messangers, but I believe with most there is not much interesting or personal to talk about." she said, but then fell silent, wondering what they actually could talk about, something interesting and maybe a bit more personal so that their talk differed to a servant-master talk. When Arwen started speaking about her being in Rohan, it cheered Erana up and she felt more open again. It was the perfect topic to choose, as she loved Rohan dearly and was proud of her home country. "Really, only twice? That's a pity, it is a wonderful land, for me it represents freedom itself, with the wide plains that stretch until the horizon, and the wild horses gallopping through the Mark." she said, imagining her most favourite places in this country of horselords. As Arwen asked about if she has been in Minas Tirith before, she answered truthfully "Well, I have been here once, but actually had no opportunity to enter the city. I was riding with the army of Rohirrim to the war against Harad, and only stayed in the camp outside on the Pelennor fields." she told, wondering if it might seem weird for her to have been in war. But she did not carry on those thoughts, instead looked up at Arwen and wondered what she would answer.

Arwen nodded, and smiled, “Indeed, many maids and servants are not that talkative. They are here to do their job and get it over and done with. They do not think once about being able to converse and how much easier it would make their job. However, I am lucky to have many fine servants, who do enjoy talking.”
She listened attentively to how Erana spoke of her homeland. He was indeed proud of the place she had come from. It reflected in the words, “Yes. That is what I thought, when I first laid eyes on Rohan. Freedom surrounded it. It was most pleasant to experience that freedom.”
The thought that Erana, had been in a battle did not convey her thoughts upon Erana. Arwen knew how hard it had been for many women to grasp the touch of a sword. She herself had only been taught the defence mechanisms, not truly how to work in a battle. Nor did she want to. It was a dreadful thing. Just having three men of the family go off to war, made chills run down her spine. Every night she prayed to the Gods for their safe return. Not to mention those of her people, “I am glad, that you speak so openly Erana,” Arwen smiled, “May your first experience inside the walls be absolute joy.”

"Well, I am glad there are at least a few servants who see you as a person then, and not only as their queen." Erana answered, then went on to speak with Arwen about Rohan. "And indeed, the freedom can easily be felt when riding through Rohan. The land itself seems like some untamable horse, so rough and wild, but yet the smooth hills... I could talk long about my land." she said smiling, still imagining the wide plains of Rohan, and riding through it, without feeling any bond, but only freedom. For her, this was almost the highest of feelings. "Thank you, Arwen. I believe it is your presence that makes me feel more comfortable in these new surroundings, that makes me open up a little more." she then answered Arwen.

Arwen nodded, “Indeed, your descriptions of Rohan are ever inviting. I can almost see it clearly, at this very moment. Your words are wonderful and better at that, than any bard I have heard attempting to recount a land he has travelled,” Arwen was growing closer to this new Lady. She was quite intelligent, however the girl’s rank, did nothing to turn Arwen off liking her.
She was proud, that her son had met this charm. Arwen hoped, she aided him well. Un-like his last lover, whom had appeared to drift, and quiet. However, that was young love, she supposed. Especially for mortals. She smiled warmly at rana, and looked about for Eldarion, wondering whether things were going any better than when Arawyn had ran out. They needed some brother, sisterly communication. Arwen felt, that sometimes it was better than herself, consorting with the children. However, Eldarion and Arawyn had always had a strong bond and were always close.

Assuming he makes it to the wedding," she sighed. Ever since their kidnapping she had become more of a pessimist, and neurotic. She hated being left alone, afraid something might have happened to her again. "I lost him too many times before El, I don't want to lose him again," she said looking down at her children, "By the way, you have a third nephew, I just couldn't carry him. He was Katarina's and Elphirs child, do you want to see him?" She asked.

"You wont lose him sister, he is always there for you no matter what, its just many people need the royals to do the stuff for them and without him not much can be done. You have a very important husband sister, do not forget that and of course you`ll see him again before the wedding."He said trying to suport her while placing a hand on her shoulder, hopings he atleast got her a little cheered up but then answered to the rest of her words about the third child he had not knew about before now."Really another child, hmm yes sure. Lead me the way."Eldarion said, trying to get her on other things so she would not be sad about Elphir leaving once again.

Arawyn then took him to their room and set down her twins, then picked up her adoptive son and smiled to El, "This is him. His name is Alladan," she smiled to her brother, "I promised Elphir that we'd raise him as my own, I hope you will too," she said to him.

Erana laughed. "Well, thank you! Although, it is very difficult to describe this land and the feelings I have for it. I believe as it is my homeland, and I adore it, it may seem easier for me to tell you about it. But now, that I am in Gondor and the Reunited Kingdom, not only to ride through but also get to know the people, it seems just as inviting to me as Rohan." Erana answered her, and it was true, already Minas Tirith seemed far more familiar to her, now that she had at least friends, or better to say relatives here. She as well was wondering although where Eldarion and Arawyn have been off to, what was wrong, or when either of them would be back. She had spent the last days with Eldarion, hardly ever separated, and now she started to miss him, although the company of his mother really cheered her up and let her forget her weariness.

“Oh indeed. A biased opinion always comes from one when they are talking about their homeland, as they are always to fond to speak out it’s weaknesses,” Arwen grinned. She held her hands together on her lap as they sat, “Though once one resides in yet another place for many years, they may also turn biased towards that also. I could not say one bad thing about all the places I have resided in, even though I know there are faults all through them.”
She looked up the hall way where a maid prepared fresh flowers from the Garden’s into the vases, getting rid of any old ones, as well as sweeping away any dirt, down the long corridor, “Many places ruled by our allies, will welcome you with open arms. It is a precious possession to hold, our allies. Rohan, has been among Gondor’s strongest and finest since the War of The Ring, and Sauron’s defeat.”
She knew, by now Arawyn must have introduced to Eldarion his nieces and nephew. It would be something, he would look to in the future no doubt. The people of Gondor would also. It had always been stressful for King’s and Queen’s to provide heirs to the throne.
