(Crap post)
A body dropped almost lifeless onto the floor. A guard he let out a sweat while looking around for others. Hopefully his companions had alarmed the guard though it would make a nice distraction. He crept farther into the palace till the point where he reached a door guarded by many men.

Vanmoriel held her daughter's small hand and nodded. "Let us go find him, I wish to leave this place myself." The child may have been afraid but she was mad. She will kill the next person that dares to lay a hand on her daughter.
"Looking for something is he? Why does that not surprise me." It always seemed that Xhel was looking for something. Half of the time she stayed out of his little searches. They never really interested her. Vanmoriel looked down the passage the Bridie had pointed out and smirked lightly. "Well, then that is where we are going." She knew trying to get Xhel to leave would not be an easy task. She looked down at Eleniel and said, "No running off this time. You stay by me, you understand?"

Bridie smirked, “I wish you good luck and a safe journey. We may see one another soon,” Bridie looked at the guards for a moment. She would be off, to yet another places of her travels. Either to start another chaos, or simply escape from it. She looked at the little girl, she really was quite stubborn, smart, must be from both parents, if not Xhel.
She brushed her hair back, and wondered what to do with the rest of these guards, they surely wouldn’t fit in the closet…. Maybe she should tie them to a wall so they couldn’t move, and look like statues. She had no idea.

The door to the prison broke down, Xhel stepped on the knocked down door and smiled twirling the key around his finger. He looked around. Which one of these idiots am I here to save? Looking around he began to open up every cell the prisioners thanked him and quickly ran off. As he opened the last cell he looked in. There sat a little girl with black hair. No thought of why the girl was in prison crossed his mind but knew she had to be saved, and not for heroic needs it was buisness and at the end the elf might end up doing something noble.

Kayla languished in her prison cell, wishing for a breath of fresh air. She was tired of all the whining and all the stench of prison. Already she had tried to get out three times, but each time she got dragged back here, to the same four dank walls. Someone came walking down the hall, stopping and letting out the prisoners as they went. Finally, they came to her cell. It was an elf, a male. With hardly a glance at her, he unlocked her cell and moved on. Hmm. Strange. Quickly pulling her dark, tangled hair into a ponytail, she grabbed her pack and stepped out into the hallway. Looking around, she saw that he had let everyone in the place free. They scattered quickly, like cockroaches revealed by the light of a torch. She doubted this elf was truly good, for if he was he would only let the ones who didn't deserve to be in here, such as herself, free. Some of these people truly deserved to be here. Like the one passing her now. A little too excited by his newfound freedom, he grabbed her arm and leered at her. "Hey, wanna go somewhere and celebrate with me?" Her strange blue eyes hardened, becoming the color of stone. Curling her other hand into a fist, she nailed the vagrant across the face. As he fell, she kneed him in the chest, knocking the breath out of him. Shoving his gasping form into a cell, she shut the door, sneering at the uncouth jerk. Stalking off, she went to find the elf. He would know the way out.

Xhel approached the little black haired girl in the prison. The girl looked at him and let out a small scream backing up into a corner. With his current all black clothing he looked like to her a floating red eye. He saw the fear in her eyes and ripped off the black clothing to reveal what you can call his 'casual' clothes and his face. The girl continued to back into the corner of the cell though she had gone as far as she could. It amused him, while letting out a small chuckle he walked up to her and crouched till he could look to her eye to eye.
"Lets go I'm not here to hurt you." He said in a tone of voice that was as kind as he could manage. Which wasn't very kind and had much room for improvent. Mostly due to the fact he had small patience for children.
The girl got up but took a second to long. Xhel snatched the girl in his arms(who was about 5 or 6, as far as he could tell) and ran off. Suprised the girl began to kick, scream, bite him and dig her nails into his skin but it did not bother him. It could be compared to an elephant being punched by a 4 year old on the leg. " Be quiet girl i'm bringing you back home. " He said to her as he bumped by the prisoners knocking many over.

Screams ripped down the stone halls as Kayla walked against the flow of people. Child's screams, by the sound of it. Ah yes, that would be the child at the end of the hall. Kayla had heard her sometimes, late at night, crying softly. She set her jaw. Children were her soft point, and no one would mistreat them in her presence. Passing a dead guard on the floor, presumably killed by an overenthusiastic prisoner, she suddenly stopped and backtracked. This was the one. Reaching into his belt, she pulled out her dirk, confiscated upon her arrest. With a satisfied sigh, she twirled it a few times in her hand. Now she was prepared. Setting down the hall at a brisk jog, she saw the elf again. This time, he held a small child in his arms. She was pale, almost blue in the face from her frantic screaming and kicking, her dark hair tangled from her struggles. Kayla stood firm, in the middle of the hallway, blocking his route. Crossing her arms, she glared at him sternly. "Let that girl go, elf. She doesn't want to go with you."

Xhel laughed as the woman stood his way. "And who are you to tell me what to do and what not to do?" He said, now flinging the girl on to his shoulder. " I believe it would be of her best interest if you let me go without a fight. To night I have not spilled blood and I do not intend to." His hand slowly reached the hilt of his blade. Literally thousands of years had been spent while in battle. Few have been able to best the elf and every time he returned to challenge them to regain his pride.

Her blue eyes hardened to gray. Insolent elf! Although that was half her blood, she still preferred to not associate with them. So prideful and arrogant. Still, she would rather not fight. This particular elf looked like he could hold his own. She forced herself to hold in her temper. Shifting her weight to one leg, she sighed, exasperated. Placing a hand on her own blade, she replied, "Listen, if you have her best interest in mind, and I have her best interest in mind, then that makes us somewhat allies. For now, anyways. I don't want to fight you. And I don't think you want to fight me either. I just want to make sure the girl is okay. And you don't seem to be doing such a great job of keeping her quiet or calming her down. So, here's the deal. I need to get out of here. You need to quiet the girl and get her out without raising the alarm. I can calm her, you know the way out. Howabout it?" Raising one dark eyebrow, she waited for his response.

Xhel stared at the half elf for a moment. He began to ponder about her offer. There was the chance she would try to escape with the girl once they got out of the building. But then again he would pursuit her, If you can't catch her I know who can. A voice said causing the elf to grin. "We have a deal just don't try anything tricky." He said handing her the girl as if she was a bag.

Widening her eyes inoocently, the gold flecks around the center sparking with hidden mischief, she replied, "Tricky? Me? Of course not." Taking the girl from the elf, she held her in her arms. The girl still fought, not as fiercely now, but she still sobbed and kicked, trying to break free. "Shhhh. Shhhh. It's okay," Kayla whispered soothingly, "You're out of that nasty cell, and that scary elf hasn't got you anymore," at this she glared up at the elf, "it's gonna be okay." She held tightly to the girl, keeping her from hitting or kicking her. Slowly, gradually, she felt the girl relax and calm, her screaming sobs becoming whimpers. Gently setting the girl up on her feet, Kayla lifted her head, gazing kindly into the girl's tearstained eyes. "Now, what's your name, then?" Kayla inquired softly, crouching down to her level.

(Sigh names how I hate making up names.)
Scary? Xhel grinned at the thought. See I told you I was the scary one. Shut up you fool, remember your job I belive this Girl is not to be trusted. "Lets keep on moving." The elf said directing it mostly to the half elf.
The girl looked up at Kayla and managed a small smile. "Nimial" She said looking at her waiting for a response.

(Hey, that's what you get for bringing in a character only you know about!)
Kayla smiled gently back. Keeping her voice calm and soothing, she replied, "Nimial. That's a pretty name." Wiping a tear away from the girl's face with one thumb, she said, "Now, I'm pretty sure you don't want to stay in this nasty place, so let's follow the elf and get out, okay?" She stood up and took the girl's small hand in her own. Met with no resistance, she looked at the elf, her blue-gray eyes switching from soft and warm to distant and businesslike. "I've done my part, now you do yours."

Xhel was facing the oppisite direction staring at the floor for no reason in particular. "I intend in keeping my part of the deal." He said. He turned around quickly and looked straight at Kayla. "Keep up" He muttered turning around swiftly leaving the girl behind. His purpose wasn't exactly to lose them, but the palace would soon have many more guards.
