Ita smiled as she ran down the hall today she would attend the first celebration sense she had been there. she ran down the hall and barged into an office "Can i get ready now?"she asked

Alatáriël quickly turned around and faced the small elfling suddenly walked into the office. She could see the that she was excited about attending her very first celebration. "Of course young one," Alatáriël replied with a smile. "Do hurry now."

Ita smiled and ran off and came back whereing her dress sloply her shoes on the wrong feet and her hair messed up "im ready now!"she said

"Already?" Alatáriël asked as Itarildë returned rather quickly. She looked down at the Elfling, seeing that she had dressed a tad sloppy. She just smiled. Maybe she shouldn't have said for her to hurry. On the other hand, she still very young and still trying to learn how to dress properly.
"Not quite yet, young one." Alatáriël kneeled down to meet Itarildë's height and neatly adjusted her dress and combed out her hair. She then noticed that her shoes were on the wrong feet. "That could not possibly be very comfortable," she said and helped her put the shoes on the proper feet. Alatáriël smiled. "There. Now you are ready."

"I do not really know, Itarildë," Alatáriël said. I am sure he will return soon." She knew full well that the Elfling really missed her Ada. It was hard on a child as young as her to be away from a parent. "I know he misses you just as you miss him."

Haldir rode into the sunny clearing and dismounted for the thousandth time in a few days. He hoped that he did not miss the start of Itarildë's celebration, as she had been looking forward to it for a long time now. He hurried into the Home, hoping that Itarildë wasn't disappointed about his absence.
He heard an angry shout in a room, Alátariël's, and he recognized the little voice to belong to none other than Itarildë. He realised that he was wrong and that she was indeed upset. "Itarildë?" he called loudly, but slightly meekly. "Alatáriël?"

Alatáriël sighed quietly. At first, she didn't know how to answer the Elfling. She was about to say something when she heard the sound of hooves from outside and a familiar presence. She waited a moment until she heard Haldir call out as he walked into the room. "Haldir," she whispered outloud to herself. "Cheer up now, Itarildë. Look who has returned."

Alatáriël smiled as she watched Itarildë quickly ran towards Haldir the moment she saw him walk through the door. It was nice to see the Elfling smile again. She always seemed to be the most happy when she was around her ada.
Alatáriël walked towards Haldir and smiled. "Welcome home, my friend," she greeted.

"I am deeply sorry for being away for so long," said Haldir, sweeping Itarildë up into his arms. "I missed you all so." He gave Alatáriël a bow - a slightly clumsy one, because he was holding Itarildë. "Am I late for the celebration?"

"Not at all," Alatáriël answered. "It has not even begun yet. In fact." She looked at the Elfling in Haldir's arms. "Itarildë had just finished getting dressed, with a little help. I should probably get ready myself."

"And so must I," said Haldir with a chuckle. "My clothes are worn from travel, as am I." He set Itarildë down and smiled at her. "You must learn to dress yourself properly one day, my little Elfling," he said, ruffling her hair.
