The raven flew like a black shadow trough one of the many windows leading into moria, it knew the mines well, and soon found the throne room. It had a message, from Hurin Halfhand king under the mountain.
Greetings.
It is true, that we have been bitter enemies, fighting hard battles which has cost so many a Honorable dwarfs death. It is also true, that I nor any other erebor dwarf ever forgives or forget easily. However, I am willing to forgive you those engagements, it has been a long time, and i see no further profit in war. Concerning the question of an alliance, I accept. I believe that the combined streght of arms and trade Will help us gravely in these times where power means everything and chivalry nothing.
Hurind Halfhand, king of dwarves.

Brokk read the message that his raven returned to him and wrote a reply as fast as he could. This was good news.

After long months of battle all of the orcs had been pushed out of Moria and the Dwarves had set up their colony and began a great work there. Gurth entered the newly refinished Throne Hall and looked around. He nodded to himself as he walked to the Throne and took a seat awaiting for his brother and any news that may come his way.

An emissary from Lindon arrived in the great hall and bowed before the dwarf lords. After the recant war I have been sent by my master, Cirdan, to offer an alliance. As Moria is the caopitol of teh Dwarven holds we hope that if you ally with us we can avoid another war.
