An Aide stepped foreward. "Lady Sereghin of Tazlue, also known as the Mamber, and formally Commander of Rhun. You are charged of traitorouse actions against the Kingdom of Rhun by the Council. If you are proved guilty then you will be executed in any way Our Soverghin, the Lady-queen Morwen of Rhun and Dorwinion, allie to Neurion of the Dunland Empire, Rhodrian and Kira of..." "Skip the formalities sister, i know who you are." Intturupted Sereghin. Morwen paused and then nodded. He carried on. "err....You are charged with sabotageing the Alliance with Near Harad on behalf of the of the Tatteyen and giveing fake information of the said alliance to our Lady-queen Morwen. You are also accused of attempting to kill Captain Rawhide of the Infantry. Do you have anything to say to this?"
Morwen sighed, she heartilly agreed with Sereghin, if they could get rid of the foramlities then it would be good. Sereghin laughed "Surely you cannot belive this sister, we have grown up together, i have proved my self time and time again, would i betray you? You who i look apon as my own flesh and blood?"

Rawhide wanted to laugh at that, but didn't. He could see now how difficult this was going to be for Morwen. Even with all the evedince in frount of her, Morwen would be tempted to belived Sereghin and let her live. Rawhide slowly and painfuly, with the help of the Master Sargent, got off the floor and settled down in a chair. It felt much better than sitting on the floor looking up at everyone. At least now he was at eye leval with everyone. Rawhide glaced out side and saw that the men had finished their morning 100 sets and were waiting for new orders. "Master Sargent," Rawhide whispered, "Begin to instruct the men in marching in formation. After their dinner, show them how to use the pikes." The Master Sargent nodded and quitly left. That put at least something out of Rawhide's mind that he was worrying about. Now, back to the real isue at hand.

"Sereghin the evidance that has been presented to me would noramlly force an execution without trial. Be thankful for what honour i give you." "Oh, is my fate already decided. What is this evidance you speak of?" "At the feast of Nurion i spoke with Rhodrian on Near Harad, we are now in allaince with them. From his manner and evidant confusion at you're reports of being beaten there i can only presume you lied to me." "I lied? He is the one that decives you sister." "Then why should he agree now to an alliance? My god you could have brought about war with them. They are one of the closest allies of Dunland. Do you think we could have survived that? Oh, i forget. You don't think, you follow the orders of the Familly yes?" she sneered. Sereghin looked as if she would hit her, but did nothing. "Speaking of the Familly, Rawhide didn't you wish to speak about you're father?" she turned to him.

Rawhide was sat up streighter in his chair and looked at Sereghin. He eyed her closely and finaly said plane and simple, "Why did the Familly want my father dead?" Rawhide had two theories. One, eather the his father was once a member of the Tatteyen and left so therefore must be killed. Or, his father had learned, done, or was going to do something that the Familly didn't want him to do.

Sereghin smiled for a moment at Morwen. "I'm sure my sister can tell you just as well as i can, can't you sister. Don't you remember Uncle Habu?" "Yes....why?" "Well that was the name we gave the dear elfs father." she turned to Rawhide. "You'r dear sire for all his brutillity and attitude couldn't take our methods...and so determined to leave and reform his charecter." "Except no one leaves do they sister" sighed Morwen sorrowfully. "No Corala, not even if the alternative is execution." "I am Morwen the Destoyer. Not Corala...was that you're doing? I thought so, thankyou." Sereghin said nothing, only shrugged and turned back to Rawhide. "No, you're farther had to die elf becuse nobody leaves, and i was chosen to kill him becuse I had seen him as a freind, and you're fist kill should always be that way."

Rawhide listend in silence, running his hand over his mustash. He glanced questionly at Morwen when Sereghin said, Corala, but disided to let it go. He looked at Sereghin and coldly smiled, "And yet you didn't finish the job. I'm still alive. I killed all the others with you that attacked that night. I hunted down and killed your father, a skilled warrier and deadly assassign no doubt. He could fight, but not well enough." Rawhide's smile turned even colder, "You failed to kill me two nights ago. And reaseved my mark." He touched his cheek and nodded towards hers. "I do not fear you Tatteyen. I mock you." Rawhide's smile vanished, but the cold, promous of death reamaind, "The Tatteyen will be destroyed. I will see to that personaly." Rawhide then turned to Morwen and asked, "I request that Sereghin be kept alive, locked away somewhere." He turned to Sereghin and added, "So that with every Tatteyen I kill, she will know, that she failed."

"You were not my target elf." Sereghin had strode acrosse the room and her hands were round his throught. "And belive me...the Tatteyen will never be destoryed by you." "But if you carry on in that way I might." Morwen's sword lay cold on the back of her neck, her hands relased him and she stepped back. "Captain Rawhide you're request is denied. The Lady Sereghin will be given an houreable death as befits the sister of the Queen and the Lady of Tazlure. You are fobbiden from 'destoying' the Tatteyen, this is simply an exicise to show them who is in charge, they are more useful to me alive" she paused and smiled at Sereghin "And, like it or not, they are my familly." "We really did create a monster didn't we. I always said they could never use you, you were always too clever...and instead you will use them, and you're sister shall be a 'simple exicise' to prove a point." She spat Morwen stood unmoved "Belive me when i say i would rather you lived..." "No i don't belive you." she cut in "I thought you would save this country, we were going to be great again, and you were going to lead us there...but what price must we pay before we realise that you would throw us all to hell if it would mean you could have a better alliance." Tears streamed down her face, she, the Assasin who never let her true feeling show. "Do i mean so little to you sister?" she sobbed on her knees. Morwen stood above her, looking fixedly ahead. "Lady Sereghin of Tazlure, you will choose how you wish to die and will be dispatched in the main square." Her voice was cold and she didn't look at her, yet she shook as she said it.

Rawhide rumbed his throught and stared at Sereghin. He turned to Morwen and said, "I still fail to see the importance of the Family. If they have defie you, put you on the brink of war with another country, and want to kill you... Why in hell would you keep them around!?" Rawhide stared hard at Morwen for a moment before recovering and bowing his head. "Forgive me. It is not my place to question your dissision." Rawhide watched as Sereghin crumpled to the floor and cry. Rawhide suddenly felt sick. Somebody like Sereghin, a trained assassign, who killed her own cousen without even flinching, now cryed on the foor like a little girl. Morwen, though not showing it on her face or in her voise, shook. Rawhide turned, asked for a spear, and then looked at Morwen. "I pray I never have to do what your doing. I don't have the strenght to do it." He took hold of the spear and used it to stand up. "If I am of no fearther use, I need to return to my men." He hobbled over to the door, but stoped as he passed Sereghin. He gentaly placed a hand on her shoulder and said, "Traitor or not, you have my respect. Your one hell of a woman." Rawhide then contiued towards the door. Fighting is what I'm good at. To hell with this.

As Rawhide walked towards the door Morwen bent down and took Sereghin in her arms. "You're a tyrent and I wish i'd let the Familly have you." "I'm so sorry sister." She drove her sword into Sereghin's chest untill the body stopped twitching. She stood up, the blood already soaked into her black palla, almost invisible. "Dress the corpse and hang it in the main square for all to see. Someone clean up this mess." She sheathed her sword and walked out, pauseing in the door beside him. "The Tatteyen run this country not me, its simply a game between us of who will win the power in the end...I may be a Tyrent, but thats the only way i can win." She said bitterly with tears in her eyes then continued out.

Rawhide heard the sound, but didn't turn around. He was too sick to look. Morwen passed him, trying to hide her tears. Rawhide just nodded. There was nothing to say. He slowly limped out towards his men. But suddenly he colapses onto the dirt. Men ran to him and carfully carried him inside. The surgan was summoned and cursed as he began to resow Rawhide's leg. "The fool tryed to walk before his leg healed. I told him to stay in bed!" After the surgan finished he said, "Make sure he stays put this time." Rawhide just layed in bed, to sick to argue.

Morwen paused and watched him being carried inside. The left with her woman and Rhuzons. She pulled one of him men aside. "Tell Captain Rawhide that all charges aginst him are dropped and that if he wishes to speak with me, then he knows where to find me."

The next day when Rawhide awoke, the men were already practicing their formations. They were coming along as he had hoped they would. Not flying through their drills so that they made a mistake, and not going so slow that they fell behind. Rawhide was prould of his men, but couldn't do anything to aid their training. He was still put on strict bed rest, and after what happened yesterday, he wasn't to upset about it. He had reaseved a message from Morwen saying that the charges against him had been droped, and that if he wished to speak with her, he knew where to find him. He was glad to hear that he was out of trouble, for the moment. Rawhide called a messenger to him and said, "Send a message to the Queen. Tell her I would like to discuse some things with her and will meet her at her conveonce." The messenger bowed and hurryed off to deliver the message. Rawhide just closed his eyes and tryed to get some more sleep.

Morwen swiftly sent a return message.
'To the Hounerable Captain Rawhide of the Rhunish Infantry Greetings. I would be pleased to speak with you this afternoon in the Palace Gardens, not least of you're premotion. From Her Magisty the Lady-queen Morwen of Rhun...etc.
P.S. Her Magisty gave orders that the Captian was not to attempt to walk, run, hop, skip or jump to the Gardens; but was instead to give due consideration to his wounds and his frustrated doctors.[/i][/size]

Though me argued against it, Rawhide finaly conseded and alowed two men esort him in a cart. The surgan made it clear that he must not ride untill that leg had fully healed. Rawhide would give it three more days at the most. Sence his mother was elvish, he had been blest with a quick recovery time. Rawhide grunted as the cart bounced over rocks in the road. This was no way for a captain of Rhun to be entering the city.

After being made Commander of Rhun's forces and helping the Queen to secure her borders, Rawhide was able to return to his men. When he rode into the barrics the Master Sargent cryed out, "Men! Attention!" instantly, 144 solders stood streight at attention, then at the Sargent's orders, moved their right arm accross their chest to the oposit shoulder in a salute and bowed. Rawhide dismounted his horse and nodded his aproval to the Sargent. These men were considered to be the worst battalion in all of Rhun. Rawhide and his Master Sargent had trained them to be the best, and right now, they looked it. Rawhide marched through the rows and inspected each man carefully. Though they still had the inexpereouned look of not having fought in a real battle, they showed no fear and would preform marvously. Rawhide nodded his aproval and said, "Sargent! You are to be congraulated. These men acually look like solders. Lets hope they can fight like solders. You all have the next two days off. You've earned it. Enjoy, beacause after that, were out of boot camp. Now it's going to be the real thing. Dismised." "Sir!" All the men shouted as they saluted again then let out a chear as they ran off to enjoy their R&R. Rawhide smiled then said, "Lt., Master Sargent! You two also have the day off. Meet me in my courders tomarrow to discuss our new training scedual."
