(Morwen wil be at the feast indefinately....alliances to be made ect. So presume she is still in her hall. She will not send men to help you, as Sereghin still controls the army, and the Queen knows nothing about this....at all.) (i notice you said nothignabout Sereghin admitting that she had killed you're farther, the whole thing about him haveing passed though the lands was a lie, he's still here....far far far under the earth...partially decomposed ect. Unmarked grave....)
Sereghin smiled cruelly. This was going to be soooo easy.....stupid elf. She side stepped, expecting his move, and flicked a dagger at him from her wrist whilst parrying with her sword. Her scrict Warriors fighting skills conbined with the underhand tecquniques of the Tatteyen. (and she's not as good as the queen....Morwen's not as faithful to her as she thinks.)

(Rawhide and his father never were on very good terms. It was on his father's death bed that Rawhide forgave him.)
In Rawhide's anger, he had forgoten that Sereghin would undoubtably have hidden weapons on her. He was right, a hidden dagger apeared from her wrist. Unable to block it, the blade cut across the back of his left hand, almost causing him to drop his sword. But that cut reminded Rawhide who he was fighting and to not get over confident. He changed his stance and attacked again, this time trying to just tie up her blades. The moment he had both of her blades out of line, Rawhide cracked his whip across her cheak. He retreated, letting all around she her wound. He was also trying to get her mad so she might make a mistake. Again, Rawhide attacked with the one thought, tie up her blades. Sereghin was aware of this now, but a cut to her hand distcated her long enough to get another crack at her face. Aagin Rawhide retreated, but for only to avoid her sword strike, and then whiped her face again. He whiped agian, but Sereghin brought her sword up and cut the tip of his whip off. But it still lashed at her face, causing another nasty cut. Rawhide steped back, out of breath and said, "Even if I die, you've been marked." One of the solders watching gasped as he saw what Rawhide ment. Though covered in blood, Sereghin's face had four distenct cuts. It looked like a very crude R. "You now carry a new tatoo. The Rawhide brand. No mather what happens you will carry my mark forever. Even if word doesn't reaches Morwen about this whole thing. She will wonder how you got my mark." with that remark, Rawhide just smiled coldly at her.

Sereghin felt her cheek and a red mist spread acrose her eyes. "You will pay for that Elf!" She spat. He had hurt her more than he knew. Half the skill of an Assasin was to go places unoticed....but with a scar like this. If she lived, which she was confidant she would, half her work for the Guild was gone. Swapping her sword into her left hand she drew a long dirk, and charged him, her eyes blank of any emotion except anger. Ducking under his sword she cut the whip in half, at a weak point. The place where Morwen had cut it before. Then back off smileing, the adrenaline pumping though her body.

Rawhide cursed as his whip was cut in half again. But it had done it's damage. Drawling his elven knife, Rawhide returned the attack. The sound of blades crashing filled the air and a small dust clould rose over them. Both fighters were sucking wind, and it wouldn't be long before one of them made a fatal mistake. But which one would make it first? Rawhide peried thrust after thrust, each on getting closer and closer to him. Then one got through. Sereghin's sword made a long cut across Rawhide's right leg. Rawhide fell to the ground in pain and was just able to roll away before Sereghin was on top of him, trying to deliver the final blow. Rawhide grabed half of his cut bull-whip and tied it tightly around his cut leg to help slow the bleeding before having to block the next attack from Sereghin. The two locked blades and it became a strenght test. Rawhide, his leg throbing with pain, couldn't keep his footing and was pushed to the ground. Sereghin was on top of him, trying to driver her dirk into his neck. Rawhide knew he couldn't hold out forever and had to do something fast. He kneed Sereghin in the back, casuing her to brefly, lose her balance. In that one moment, Rawhide escaped, rolled around her, grabed the other half of his cut bull-whip that lay on the ground, and wraped it around Sereghin's throught. He slowly began to twist it, cutting off her air way. Rawhide leaned in and said, "I'll give you one chance to yeild, Sereghin. I don't want to kill you if I don't have to. Please, yeild and leave with your life."

"N...no..."She choked gasping for breath her world turning black, she could slowly feel her strenth slipping from her. Useing her last energy she flicked a tiny blade out from her bracelet and stabbed it into his leg, halfway though the muscel. Then her eyes failing her she whispered "You will pay for this elf." Then slid into unconsioseness. She thought she was dyeing, but at least, she thought to herself as his face faded, it was the death of a Tatteyen, a death for her Guild.

Rawhide's grip weaken as Sereghin's small blade was drove into his already wounded leg. He felt her body grow limp and releasted his grip on her. He checked for a pulse, it was weak, but still there. Rawhide slowly got to his feet. Blood ran down his leg and turned the dust into mud. He looked about as bad as he felt. Rawhide looked at every Tatteyen there and raised his sword at them. "Leave." He commanded. "Leave now, before the mark of Rawhide appears on your face." Nobody moved, except for the Master Sargent, who bent down and picked up a short shafted pike and came up behind the Tatteyen. Quickly, the other solders picked up the weapons they were about to train with and surrounded the Tatteyen, leaving them only one exit. One Tatteyen reached down to move Sereghin and found Rawhide's knife against his throught. "She stays here." He said in a tone that left no room for discution. When the Tatteyen still made no move to leave, Rawhide repeated, "Leave now. I will not ask again."

The one at whose neck Rawhide held his blade stood up slowly and looked his straihgt in the eyes coldly. "Aye we will leave elf; but only for the sake of our mistress. We were ordered to kill the brat and follow Sereghins orders after that. She said tht you were hers, therefore you are untill the Familly decideds otherwise...you are lucky elf...lucky that she ranks higher than me." He smiled and pushed the blade away. "I will ask that you are mine. Tatteyen!" And with that the disappered, mingeling with the crowds outside the barracks.
Sereghin lay as one lifeless, only her shallow breathing giveing tell to the life that still burned within her.

As soon as the Tatteyen were gone, Rawhide colapesed on the ground. Quickly, a sergen was brought to him to mend his leg. Although in great pain, and letting off a string of curses, Rawhide continued to bark orders. "Clear out those bodies from my corders! And take them out and burry them somewhere!" Rawhide then called for the Rhuzons that Morwen had assigned to watch him. "I know that you are suppose to take orders from Morwen only, but I'm going to give you one anyway. Sereghin is a traitor and is to be held prisoner untill Morwen arives and takes her away. You three are to take Sereghin, strip her down, and lock her in the brig. The brig is to be empty of everything. No one but you three are to be alowled in there and I don't even want you to be with in a two yards of her cell. She is to be kept in there, naked and with nothing at all. Is that clear? I am not going to give her anything she could use to excape. I can't just through her in there, she probalby has five hidden blades under her cloths and I don't want her using them. I would give her a cloak to cover herself, but she could try to hang herself and I want to make sure that she lives long enough for Morwen to get here and deal with her personaly." Rawhide paused to let out another string of curses as the sergen sowed his leg up. The sergen then pulled out a bottle of alcohall and poured it over his leg. Rawhide let out a cry that ecoed over the whole camp and had to puch a solder, who had the misforcen of standing to close, to prevent himself from taking a knife to the sergen. He turned back to the Rhuzons and said, "Don't let her trick you into letting her go. You have your orders. Go." Rawhide layed back down and continued his string of curses as the sergen finished his leg.

"Yes sir." Answered an older woman. " If as you say the Lady Sereghin is a traitor to the Queen then we cannot answer to her." She saluted a slight cynically and left with the others, carrying Sereghin carefully between them. She may no longer be a commander, but she was still the Lady of Tazlure, and commanded some respect.

Rawhide's leg was bandaged up and he was ordered to stay off of it for at least two weeks. Rawhide tryied to stand up after two hours and reluctently layed back down. But he countiued to give orders to his men. "Master Sargent, continue to train the men as instructed. Lt. send a message to the Queen asking her to come her as quickly as possible. And see if the head blacksmith has my order done yet. I really need some new armor if I'm going to be fighting Tatteyen off my back all the time." Rawhide laughed, but there was no humor in it. "Also," He continued. "The men are going to start pulling gaurd duty. I want three squads partroling the compound at night, roatainging each squad every hour. That way we don't have a massive change. Men love to attack at the changeing of the gaurd." Rawhide closed his eyes a moment then said, "Bring me my notes from my corders. As long as I'm on bed rest, I want to be doing something. And let me know when Sereghin wakes up. We have a lot of things to talk about." He said coldly. Sereghin's reference to killing his father made Rawhide think back to that dark night. She just might have killed his father.

Morwen was walking in the Gardens with some of her women, enjoying the midday sun when a man arrived panting. "Lady-queen" he fell to the ground at her feet. "Yes...what is it?" She replied with a sigh, she had tried to get her subjects to stop behaving in this way...but maybe there were somethings that couldn't be changed. "Rawhide asks that you come to the barracks, if you... "Either rephrase that or leave now." "What?...Oh...err...Lady, Captain Rawhide requests you're presance at the Infantry barracks." "Thats better, why?" she replied bluntly, sitting down and looking directly at the pitiful man. "Errrm, I don't know Lady, maybe its something to do with Commander Sereghin...or something" he finished lamely. Morwen raised one plucked eyebrow, thinking of Sereghins death sentance. No one knew about it but her and Cilmion, surely Rawhide couldn't know about it. "Why cannot Captain Rawhide come to me as would be the normal case?" "He's injured Lady." "I see, you may tell Captain Rawhide that he may expect me at the seventh hour this evening...and tell him to send a better messenger this time; dismissed" The man coulred but saluted and made his way back to barracks.
A Rhuzone entered Rawhides room. "The Lady Sereghin has awakened sir." She said saluting.

Rawhide returned the woman's salute and tryed to get up. Biteing back another string of curses, he ordered two men to carry his cot down to Sereghin's cell. The two men layed Rawhide down ten feet away from the edge of Sereghin's holding cell. No sence in taking chances. Rawhide ordered the men to leave him but not to go far. Alone with Sereghin, Rawhide meerly took out his pipe and started at the opposit wall. Though she was a trator and probably didn't care, she was still a woman, and Rawhide would give her her privice. She was, after all, locked up without anything on. Finaly, he spoke, "It took be a wile before I would even speak to my father after I found him. Killing him was the only thing on my mind. But my coureousity of him and the history of Rhun kept me from doing that. We were attacked one night by a group of black hooded figures. We fought them off and killed all but two. My father was mortaly wounded. On his death bed, he asked me to forgive him, he said that he was prould to know that he had a son, and gave me his bull-whip. I tracked down and killed one of the two that escaped. He had a strange tattoo on his neck. At the time, I had beaten it up so bad that I couldn't make it out. That's must be why when your freind tracked me my first day in Rhun I didn't reconise his eye tattoo. Then your comint about killing my father during our fight, I thought at first it was just to make me mad, but I think that you were that person who escaped. Please fell free to jump in at any time and correct me if I'm wrong."

"Oh no elf you're quite right." Sereghin stood up and walked around infront of him. Her hair was shorne like a boys, and her hair was woven so that it fell like a short skirt around her waist. "The Rhuzons acknoledged my position as Lady Tazlure, even if they do obay you...Oh don't worry, i can't strangle myself with it." She sneered. "Yes i killed you're farther, just as you tracked down and killed mine. Yes elf, the man you just metioned was my farther. It was my first assignment, except you became a dead man from that day on."

Rawhide turned and studied Sereghin's eyes a moment before turning back towards the wall and said, "I see." He reamained silent for a moment, thinking. Finaly he asked, "Why were the Tatteyen trying to kill my father?" Another thought occoured to Rawhide and he asked, "If you knew that I killed your father, why didn't you kill me that first day in the streets? I was fighting two Rhun solders, you killed them but not me. In fact, you were the one that pointed out my heritige as the next Lord of Eastern Rhun. And you took me personaly to see Morwen. Why? Why didn't you just kill me? You have had more than enough opertunities to."

"You forget Elf that i am not head of the Tatteyen, i am simply a powerful member." She said with a bitter laugh. "It was in the intrests of the Familly to see how you would turn out, to them there was no need to kill you. Only if you compramised the Tatteyen could i kill you. So of course, my dear proud blabbering cousin Krait had to become part of you're section." she smiled creully
