Rawhide went from group to group, showing diffrent moves and helping the slower men learn. He kept a close eye on Kriat's group. Most of the things that he knowtest were moves favored by assassigns. Rawhide wasn't training assassigns, he was training solders. But he had to have those weapons to do so. For the rest of the day the men drilled and trained. The next two days were just the same, hard drilling and fighting. At the end of the third day, Rawhide called Krait to his corders and filled him in on the exact details. "Ten miles southeast of here is another barracks. It has close to 1000 men in it. I need you and your three chosen squads to go to that base, get me 36 swords, 36 long shafted pikes, 36 short shafted pikes, and 36 bows with quivers. Do not kill anyone unless absolutly nessisary, and do not be caught. If you are caught, I will deny all knowledge of your mission and you, along with the rest of the men, will be punished accordenly." Rawhide lit his pipe and stared out the window. "Be back with everything by morning and leave the weapons in the armory." Rawhide looked back at Kriat and locked eyes with him, "Can you do all of that, Tatteyen?"

Krait had not really been listening. He had noted down which barraks and then zoned out, but at Rawhides last words he looked him straight in the eye. He knew. And in nameing that knowledge he had destroyed himself. Anger followed by a cold calculateing look passed though his eyes. "Aye....i can do that....but this will not be forgotten....and you would do better so speak such words softly Captain, lest they come back and find you." His voice was quitley threatening, and his eyes laughed coldly.

Rawhide raised an eyebrow and gave Kriat a cold smile, "I don't fear rummors or threats. I fear only what I have seen with my own eyes." Rawhide's cold smile changed into a cold stare, "And if your thinking of killing me, You know right wear to find me. I'll be waiting."

"You think me and my people just a ruomour Rawhide, we rule this land, and you would do better to run back to the elves, they might afford you some small protection." With that he turned on his heel and summoned his squad, ignoring the other two Rawhide had said he might use, telling his freins of his plan.

Rawhide watched Kriat leave, resisting the urge to follow and put him in his place. Rawhide dug into his bag, pulled out a small bottle, and downed the whole bottle at once. He staired at the bottle a moment. He never drank this much at a time, not when he needed to keep his head. Throwing the empty bottle aside, Rawhide lay down in his bunk and closed his eyes. Not carring if he never woke up, Rawhide went to sleep.

When darkness had fallen, 13 men dressed in black slipped over the wall of the compound and though the streets. 13, the lucky number of the Guild. They crept into another group of narracks on the oppasite side of the city. Silently weopans were stowed beneath cloaks, carried past drugged gaurds and loaded into a cart, the black shadows darting back and forth. Finally an hour after midnight the cart departed noiselessly, and drew up beside the compound. The squad returned to thier lodgeings and slept, the arms safely stored in the armoury. Only Krait did not sleep, slipping into a half dreaming state in which Rawhide died repeatedly before his eyes untill pink touched the canvass of the sky.

Rawhide awoke the next morning and found the weapons Krait had delivered. "Impressive." Rawhide muttered to himself. As the men were formed up to begen the days training, Rawhide gave new instructions. "Sargent, Lt. Supply seems to have changed their mind about our importance. So we will begen weapons training emedeitly. Lt. You will take three squads and exercize using the bows. Master Sargent, you will take three squads and work on line formations with the long shafted pikes." Rawhide paused a moment and stared at Krait. "Sargent Krait. You will take three squads and train them useing the short shafted pikes." Rawhide paused again and then finished. "I will take the reamaining men and train with the sword. You men have your orders. Lets go!"

Sereghin marched through the gates her own squad at her back and strode into the center of the yard in her full armour. "Those orders are contermanded by my authority." She shouted to the men "You will not touch the weopans and will remain in parade formation untill i give the order. Captain Rawhide and Sargent Krait will come with me." She turned to her own men and women. "If they move you are to kill them...Hai!" They spread around the yard, drawing thier weopans. Only the tatoo'd man who had followed Rawhide though the streets stayed with her as she walked into Rawhides rooms.

Rawhide didn't object, as if he had a choise. "Sargent," Rawhide said calmly, "Order the men to drop their weapons and do as Commander Sereghin orders." Rawhide then followed Sereghin into his courders. "What rummors have been spread about me now that would lead to this rude interpution of my men and thire training?" Rawhide asked with respect to Sereghin, but with a hint of anoience that any captain would have at having his exercezes suddenly halted. He glanced at the tatoo'd man he had met on when he first came to Rhun, but didn't ecknowledge his presence. Sereghin was the only person in the room that Rawhide had any real respect for. And it would be from her alone that he would take any orders from. "Or has the Queen disided that I'm no longer worth my word and is throwing me out?" Suddenly a dark thought entered Rawhide's mind, and a grim look passed over his face. "Or..." He said slowly, calculating his best chance to get out if his guess proved to be right, "Morwen knows nothing of this and you Tatteyen people have disided that I have mocked you and must be made an example of." Rawhide locked eyes with Sereghin, his face hard and cold, praying that he was wrong.

"Well done Rawhide...close enough." She answered with a look of real pleasure. "I did hope you would work it out on you're own." She gave a cruel smile. "But it seems you didn't."
"Every member of the Tatteyen has a shadow Krait, or was that something you over looked? We've been watching you." She held his chin in one hand, her eyes takeing in every fature of his terror. he stood before her frozen in fear. "You know what happens to those who betray us Krait....however, tell me what you're Captin knows and you may live." "Nothing...i told him nothing." "Come now cousin...we both no thats a lie.." Her voice was smooth and sibilant. Shaking, Krait told her everything. "There, that wasn't so hard now." She patted him on the head smileing, then turned away. "Kill the traitor." "NO, PLEASE SEREGHIN ,NO, MERCY, I DIDN'T MEAN TO, PLEASE...." Calitain stepped foreward his eyes lit up with a cold light. "I'M BEGGING YOU, I'L DO ANYTHING, i'l..." He looked down at the sword proturding from his chest "....cousin...?" He fell to the ground. Calitain picked up his sword, wipeing the warm blood from it. Sereghin sighed. "You know what happens to those who betray us Krait...they die."
She turned back to Rawhide, "Unfortunatly you have seen to much. I'm afaid you'll have to die as well."

Rawhide's face was stone cold. Now he knew just what the Tatteyen were capable of. He eyed Sereghin, and said coldly, "So that is what the Tatteyen are. I don't think I'd like to die to nothing more than a bunch of cold hearted killers." Before the last words were out of his mouth, Rawhide droped his hand for his boot knife and brought it up. But just as quick, one of the Tatteyen had a knife to his throught, stoping him before he had a chance to fight. Rawhide looked at Sereghin and asked, "You would dishonor a fighter by not giving him the chance to die fighting?" That made his holder chuckle, and Rawhide sprung. Rawhide through his head back and bussed the man in the nose. The knife fell away, but another Tatteyen had a bow drawn and pointed at him. The man with the busted nose rose and extened his hand towards Rawhide's knife. That was the fatal mistake that man made. Rawhide fliped the knife in his hand and extened the handal towards him. But just before he had grabed hold of it, Rawhide though the knife with all his might at the man with the bow. The blade lodged itself in the man's chest. Not missing a beat, Rawhide brought his arm back up and backhanded the other man across his allready broken nosed. Drawling his Elven knife, Rawhide made quick work of him and busted outside. "Men! Grab your weapons! Attack! Fight!"

"Move one step and you're famillies will pay the price." Many of them stopped, all to aware of what the Tatteyen were caperbel of. Sereghin smiled. "You are right Rawhide, i am a cold blooded killer, even you're men know that. But the Tatteyen are mush more than that. We hold more political power than any apointy of the Queen, more than she herself. She knows a certain amount of this, that is why she keeps me as her confidant, she think's she can use me for her beifit...but, as you've guessed it works the other way. Therefore, she must never know truly of us, or we would lose the pwer we have held for two mellenia."

Rawhide cursed. He was not expecting his men to be aware of the Tatteyen power. Altough he should have guessed. He had to do something fast or he was a dead man. He also had to warn the Queen, if he got out alive. Not wanting to be cut down by arrows, Rawhide one last attempt. "Sereghin, do you remember that first day I came to Rhun? Sence seeing your skills I have wondered who was better, me or you. I fought Morwen, but not to the death. Why not let me go out like a true warrier?" Rawhide smiled mockenly. "Or do Tatteyen not fight one on one because they have know they will lose? Only cowerds kill in cold blood." Rawhide drew himself up and laughed, "I say right now that the Tatteyen are nothing but a shadow! A small group of cowerds and killers who use rummors as their only real weapon." Rawhide then spat towards Sereghin.

(Unknown to her, Sereghin is due for execution, if you can get to the queen then you are safe. Please don't kill Sereghin though....i might let you do that later.)
"I am no coward elf," replied she replied stung. "it was only that i did not wish to Dirty my nobel hands with you're half breed blood. However, since you so wish it, prepare to meet you're whoreing mother, and the farther that i killed." Her men and women formed a circle around them both, as she drew her sword. "No rules elf, life dosen't abide by any."

(Oh, I wasn't going to kill her. Rawhide has a hard time killing women. And yes, I am waiting for the Queen to get back from her feast and help out.)
Sereghin had just made a fatal mistake. Rawhide had no intention of killing Sereghin, that was for the Queen to disside. But he had even more intetion of not being killed. But to through the elven insult was the wrong thing. It was the one thing that could get Rawhide mad. Though Rawhide's order for armor and a sword hadn't been finished, he still had his elven knife, a second smaller boot knife, and his bull-whip. Choseing to go with the bull-whip, Rawhide cracked it around his head once, and whiped out at one of Sereghin's men, grabing his sword and ripping it out of his hands. Now, with a sword and whip, Rawhide chardged Sereghin. Focousing manly on attacking, Rawhide kept Sereghin on the defence. She was good, maybe as good as the Queen. But Rawhide had had many diffrent teachers, and every one had tought him a diffrent fighting style. If he could find the one that through Sereghin off gaurd, he would have a chance to walk away from this fight.
