Eowyn hastened about helm's Deep, shouting at the top of her voice for the men to prepare themselves; news had reached her ears of a Scouting Party from Dunland, and she needed everyone to prepare for battle.
"Gather your weapons!" She cried, rallying support as she went. "We must ride to meet this army! We will not let them take any part of Rohan!"
A Scout of her own had watched the party from Dunland ride to the Helm, and she did not intend to allow anyone to just walk in and take over the Riddermark. She would fight!
