Elegost had his rangers in postition. They were hidden all over Bree, invisible to everyone. Elegost how ever stood upon a newly created wall and called down to the evil army mustered below him.
"What buisness does a foul bunch as yourselves have in Arnor?"

He ducked below the ramparts and ordered the rangers who were close by to fire back over the wall.

a few orcs fell, they where unimportant
at the order of the castellear, the orcs charged the gate with their crude axes and blades.. the wooden gate wuld not last long,
the orcish archers was fiering their firearrows at random over the gates trying to hit houses or men...

He knew what the leader was thinking. But it would not come about so easily. The crudly wrought weapons wouldnt do much damage to the gates. They were knewly fortified and would give a good barrier to the rangers of Bree.

The air was begining to fill with smoke, the arcers had hit somthing!
the orcs continued hacking on the gates.. smal scrachers and holes begun to show up

((If you dont mind I'll say when the gate gets destroyed...And its unfair you attacking me. I've never done anything to you lol))
The scratches meant nothing. It was like loosing a grain of sand on a mile long beach. The Rangers kept on firing over the gates from covered positions. The orcs were falling behind the gates.

(now you now what "evil" means... and okay, but i dont like to hack on the gates forever... )
the orcs rann out of bowrage, 15 of their number had been slain, the orcs used their crude axes to cut down an moderate thich tree, they used about an hour to mak e a battering ram....
the orcs ran back to the gates, four of their number was ramming the gates, and ten others was defending them with their large shields.

10 dwarfs stumbeled uot of the inn, they went to elegost, and said "we are dwarven carravan guards from erebor, we will fight by your side to hounor our alliance!" they took up their two handed axses,

((Thats funny ;D I suppose its in your nature to attack me  )) Elegost groaned. He hadn't expected the Orcs to make a ram. The Gate wouldn't last long. He nimbly dropped from the Gate and greeted the Dwarves. He whispered orders into the head Dwarf's ear and they followed them. Elegost himself ran off to find cover. |

unnaware of the new dwarf treat, the orcs continued to smash the gates with the battering ram, the orcs was doing a good joob shielding the most important parts of the orc body. but from time to another, an arrow hit a orc in an unnarmored feet or somwhere else visible, 2 died from minor injuries, they slowly beeded to death...
the archers continued pouring burning arrows into the city, many of the arrows landed on stray roofs and such...
